Collecting and presenting event attendee infromation

I am in the process of deciding the combinations of WordPress plug-ins to use to create a closed membership site. One of the features I wish to add is an event calendar of relevant events. While I wish the step up a public calendar that is promoted and used to attract potential members I also wish to be able to identify which events the members have elected to go to as well as show other members which of their fellow members are attending the different events.

Is this possible? If so what would be the best way to approach this with The Event Calendar?

This is possible by using the Events Calendar in combination with either Event Tickets (free) or Event Tickets Plus

Both of these plugins allow you to do display the attendee list as part of the event details.
