ParticipantHi,
I’m having trouble with my recurring events. When I create one, the first event shows up, but none fo the recurring ones show up. Also, the event itself leads to a dead link.
So when I click on the event, it says the page does not exist.
I have all the events recur every week at the same day and time.
Thanks

MemberGood evening David and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual. Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the recurring events not working as expected on your website.
I would love to help you with this topic. Can you tell me if the recurring events show up in the back-end (in the events list) ?
Would you mind going to Events -> Settings -> General and checking what your setting is for Create recurring events in advance for ?
Can you try re-saving your permalinks ?
Finally, can you try completely emptying the cache from your caching plugin (these can sometimes get in the way) ?Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantThanks for the reply Geoff.
So after resaving permalinks, the single events page works, but the recurring events still don’t show up. They don’t show up in the backend and the frontend. At the moment, I have been recreating the events.
As for the settings, I have changed ‘create events in advance for’ to 12 months.
Also, resetting my cache, hasn’t helped in showing the recurring events. I don’t believe its a cache issue, due to the fact the the recurring events do not show up in the backend. (or are they not suppose to show up in the backend?)
Thanks!

MemberGood evening David,
I am sorry to hear that this not worked as expected.
By the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Additionally, could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.
Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.Let me know how that goes.
