Member- Follow PRO Additional Fields to add a custom field like “Artist” text field to each of your events.
- The code snippet I just provided you can be used or modified to get the Artist field’s value.
- You’ll need to determine where to put that code to implement your customization.
If you need further coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our list of known customizers.

MemberExcellent! Thanks for letting me know. I’ll get that snippet updated too.

MemberHi. I think there’s a typo on the last line of the code snippet you linked to. On the last line, please replace “_venue_” with “_organizer_” and try that.
Let me know how it goes.

MemberHi Tommy. Thanks for your detailed question.
I believe you’re requesting the same thing as one of our existing feature requests: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3926703-shortcode-ability-for-simple-implimentation-on-any
Please do add your vote there.
This allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.
Thank you.

MemberSorry that didn’t work.
I’d go through the same steps you went through before:
1. Set theme to twenty sixteen
2. Turned off all plugins – except ‘The Events calendar’ and ‘The Events calendar – eventbrite tickets’but after doing that, please try these steps, seeing if it works after each:
- disconnect/reconnect Eventbrite like you just did
- if that didn’t solve it: create a new event, use the same venue, add a new Eventbrite ticket, see if you get the same error
- if you do get the same error: create a new venue with a new venue title but same address, assign an event to this new venue and see if you get the same Eventbrite error
Also, did you ever enable WP_DEBUG, as I mentioned previously? You might want to try that too.

MemberI figured it out. The issue is when Default Content is set at wp-admin > Events > Settings
You have default State as MO. If you unset that option, it should be a workaround until this new bug is fixed.
(Thanks for your help discovering it.)

MemberI understand. We don’t have any known bugs for “scheduled imports not working.” The only thing might be if your site doesn’t receive enough hits to import as often as desired because of its reliance on WP-Cron.
Other than testing on your staging site or even a localhost site, I’m not sure what else to recommend other than this:
I’d suggest deleting this specific scheduled import, deleting all these fake events from Google Calendar, and then creating some new dummy events (with different event names) and then trying to set it up again.
Note that iCal Importer won’t re-import previously deleted events (events imported by iCal Importer then deleted in wp-admin), which is why I said to create test events with different event names — to make sure iCal Importer doesn’t think it’s the same event and therefore not importing it.

MemberCindy, thank you and Avada Team very much.
I’ll wait to hear back from you if everything is good to go now. Please update me when you can.

MemberLet’s resolve the first issue first, but this snippet may help with your email customization if you are using PRO’s Additional Fields (not ACF):

MemberNeil, having a dedicated check-in app is an idea we have under consideration, but any QR code reader app will take you to the link to check someone in (if signed-in to wp-admin with the appropriate managerial credentials).
If you have that event’s Attendees Report wp-admin page open, there’s a “check-in” button right there too, so you don’t need to use the QR code. In fact, we have a KB article how to disable it.
For offline check-ins, it doesn’t have the benefit of displaying a message like “this ticket was already checked in, try again” — especially helpful if attendees could check in at multiple locations (e.g. South or North sides of a venue) — but, yes, you could Export, print, and do it offline.
I hope that helps clarify things 🙂
