MemberAnother thought, since the console errors mentioned Select2, might be that the versions of Select2 that we bundle and (I’m guessing) the theme is including might be conflicting.

MemberHi, Joakim. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Could you please explain what you mean by “does not work”? Does none of the Customizer load? Would you be able to share an annotated screenshot, screen capture video, and/or relevant URLs to clarify exactly what’s happening here?
Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups before modifying anything on your site.
If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply. That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

MemberHi, David. Thanks for the link and screenshot.
Are you noticing this throughout your entire site or only with Events? If throughout your entire site, please double-check wp-admin > Settings > General > “Date Format” option
You might have an extra space in there. If not, please follow these steps:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates
- WordPress core updates
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

November 8, 2017 at 8:13 pm in reply to: Scheduled import from iCalendar creates duplicate Events #1378616Cliff
MemberHi, Aniko. Sorry you’re experiencing this.
Sometimes this is an error with the source (such as not having a UID) and sometimes it’s an issue with Event Aggregator.
Therefore, please send over the URL(s) you’re experiencing difficulties with and also provide a link to one or more events you’re seeing duplicates of.
I’ll then be able to take a closer look.

MemberHi, Brecht. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
Event Tickets Plus (ET+) is our paid add-on plugin that upgrades the functionality of our free Event Tickets (ET) plugin.
Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets.
You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.
Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.
Specifically to your question regarding Google Analytics integration:
- Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. http://wpshindig.com/event/events-tickets-demo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.
- Therefore, any Google Analytics integration would be installed at a site-wide level (such as via https://jetpack.com/features/traffic/google-analytics/) and you’d setup GA to track URLs like “example.com/event/bobs-comedy-routine/” and you could add any action-based GA events via one of the many hooks we offer.
- To be clear, because you run your own site, there are a lot of ways to customize things, whether via UTM or other methods.
The order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. It could be displayed on their mobile device or they could print it like any other email. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.
You could also Display a List of Attendee’s Events.
If your tickets will be free, you don’t need QR code check-in, and you don’t need to collect additional information other than name and email address, you likely could just use the free/core Event Tickets plugin.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

MemberHi. I visited your site and this CSS should do the trick:
.tribe-events-countdown-widget .tribe-countdown-time .tribe-countdown-timer { display: inline-block; }You can add custom CSS code via your child theme’s style.css file, via WordPress 4.7’s Customizer CSS settings, or via a third-party plugin (not guaranteed or supported by us), like:
- SiteOrigin CSS (helps you visually build CSS selectors via its Inspector and Visual Editor, if that’ll help you)
- Simple Custom CSS
- Jetpack (supports regular CSS and the LESS and Sass pre-processors)
If you’re not a CSS expert, Jetpack’s Custom Design reference may prove helpful.
Please let me know how it goes for you.

MemberHi, Pat.
I’m not sure where you found that, but it looks like it’s from WooCommerce prior to version 3.
Please give this code snippet a thorough read-through to see if it’d be a good fit for you:

November 8, 2017 at 7:41 pm in reply to: test MAP view & compatibility with WP Event aggregator #1378602Cliff
MemberHi, Eric. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.
I can’t speak for another company’s product, but we do offer Event Aggregator, Eventbrite Tickets (which imports Eventbrite events even if they don’t have tickets), and Events Calendar PRO (yes, this is the only way to get Map View).
If you purchased all 3 at the same time we could probably work out a discounted purchase price coupon, depending on how many sites this would be for.
We do not have a trial program, but we have a demo site (no wp-admin access though). Here’s our demo site’s Map View: http://wpshindig.com/events/map/
One of the benefits of our Event Aggregator vs competitors is that our servers fetch and process the data, which saves some server resources for your own site (significant in the case of many imports running often). We used to have imports that ran fully on your server and some users had servers that weren’t powerful enough or optimized well enough to run continual fetching and processing of such data (sometimes 1,000+ events within a single iCal file).
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
November 8, 2017 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Filter Bar day filtering shows events from previous day of the week too #1378595Cliff
MemberThanks for your effort here.
Since that didn’t resolve it for you and one of our developers also wasn’t able to replicate the issue, could you please provide us a database dump to take a deeper look?
Cliff
MemberPlease provide each iCal URL that is experiencing an issue. For example:
- example.com/ical-1 doesn’t import any events at all
- example.com/ical-2 imports all events fine for manual but no new ones for scheduled imports
- example.com/ical-3 has 10 events but only 2 are importing. They are “Event A” and “Event B”
With such information, I should be able to look further into each. However, please do run each one through severinghaus.org/projects/icv/ before reporting issues to us about them. We can only be expected to handle valid data.
Cliff
MemberI tried replicating this but wasn’t able to. I tried using PHP 5.3 (you really should update to PHP 7 per https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/), UTC-6 as the WordPress timezone (you really should use a city-based timezone for the sake of DST), and I tried a few other things.
Therefore, since this isn’t currently a known issue and I wasn’t able to replicate it, I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
- Downloads / Version Numbers
- License Keys
- TEC Automatic Updates
- or TEC Manual Updates

MemberSorry things didn’t go smoothly for you.
The first column of your Tickets CSV should be the Event Name, ID, or Slug, as demonstrated at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/csv-files-options-and-examples/#tickets-fields
Are you saying you did that part correctly but it didn’t work for you?
Please note that screenshots do not come through via email replies… so I didn’t get your email attachment. Please login to the forum and share the screenshot you tried to share previously.

November 8, 2017 at 2:26 pm in reply to: Installed Updates – Had to revert back. Licensing kept giving errors – site slow #1378497Cliff
MemberI see you already have 10 sites registered (max for the Agency license) so maybe that’s why these other URLs aren’t registering.
You can visit https://theeventscalendar.com/license-keys/ to see all the sites registered to each of your licenses.
You can deregister sites there and also see how many open slots you have.
Sorry for not addressing your question about performance concerns. In our forums we keep our threads focused on just one issue at a time to ensure we fully answer each of your questions/issues. Please keep this in mind for the future and start a new thread for your performance issue if it’s still happening after resolving the licenses issue. Thanks for your understanding.
