Scheduled import from iCalendar creates duplicate Events

Hi

The scheduled iCalendar imports are creating duplicate events. Ive read through the support forums but haven’t found a solution.
Ive reverted the theme to twenty sixteen and removed all other plugins but it doesn’t help.
Ive also ensured that WordPress and plugins are updated to the latest version.
The software licences are valid and active

Hi!

I also see this problem, scheduled import from Facebook creates duplicate events! Not all, only 3-4-5… piece! I try some times delete all event, and after I make new import, sometimes come back with same event the duplication, and sometimes with other events!

Hi, Aniko. Sorry you’re experiencing this.

Sometimes this is an error with the source (such as not having a UID) and sometimes it’s an issue with Event Aggregator.

Therefore, please send over the URL(s) you’re experiencing difficulties with and also provide a link to one or more events you’re seeing duplicates of.

I’ll then be able to take a closer look.

We’ve solved the issue for us. Our external calendar system was creating unique UIDs for the events on each export. So on each scheduled import it couldn’t find the event in the db and would create a duplicate.
