MemberHi, Rich. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite (again).
There are people who use our ticketing products for class signups, which sort of rides the line between events and bookings functionality.
We’re not the perfect fit for bookings, such as a hairdresser that has 8-9, 9-10, 10-11 time slots 5 days a week.
However, our ticketing product also doesn’t currently support PRO’s recurring events. Although it sounds like your events won’t be recurring, here’s more information about this:
If you start to create a ticket for a recurring event, there will be a little question mark notice that reads:
Currently, tickets will only show up on the frontend once per full event. For PRO users this means the same ticket will appear across all events in the series. Please configure your events accordingly.
You should add your vote to this existing feature request for Event Tickets to support PRO’s recurring events.
Something some users are doing right now is using PRO’s recurring events to populate their events calendar but then breaking each occurrence from the series to turn them into single events — basically using PRO as an event generator but not actually using its recurring events functionality on the front-end. Others are just dealing with the tickets on recurring events even though you can’t then tell which occurrence they reserved the ticket for… use this information for your own reference but please don’t take it as any sort of recommendation.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions. If so, please let me know whether or not you foresee yourself using recurring events for your classes.

MemberTo clarify my previous reply, I do see that you already have our PRO license. Sorry for any confusion about that.
And to answer your question from https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/integraing-the-image-view-into-visual-composer/:
The answer is the same except that https://theeventscalendar.com/showcase/milkwood/ displays our Photo View (only available via PRO). Here’s our demo site’s version of it: http://wpshindig.com/events/photo/
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberHi, Mike. I’ll continue this conversation at your similar thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/integraing-the-image-view-into-visual-composer/
Cliff
MemberHi, Mike.
That screenshot is using our List View. You can see it at our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/events/list/
List View is included in the free The Events Calendar plugin; it also includes some widgets.
If you have Events Calendar PRO, you could use one of our plugin’s enhanced widgets or shortcodes.
While we don’t have a Visual Composer extension, you should be able to use a shortcode or widget there.
You can also add your vote to this existing feature request: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/6854801-create-a-visual-composer-extension
Voting allows us to gauge interest in this particular feature request, which helps us prioritize our development efforts.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

MemberSo if you…
… remove your PRO license key from wp-admin > Events > Settings > Licenses
… then automatically update all but PRO
… then manually update PRO
… then run everything while PRO’s license is not entered in Settings
… do things still run slowly?
Cliff
MemberThanks for all the details.

If an import is hung up and no longer importing, I’d suggest deleting that scheduled import, make sure you’re on the latest version of The Events Calendar, and then re-setup the same iCal feed import.
===
If you “delete” via wp-admin, they’re actually not deleted… this is done so that EA knows not to re-import an event that isn’t found (because it was deleted)… otherwise you’d have to keep deleting the same event after each import.
This is why the tool I shared does things directly in the database. This is also done for much quicker performance.

Creating events directly in wp-admin is definitely possible and is common, even for people using EA.

MemberTodd, sorry for the frustrations here.
Regarding the performance issues you’ve been experiencing, does it get solved by deactivating PRO?
If yes, it might be an issue with recurring events, in which case this extension may come in handy: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/recurring-event-cleanup-tool/

MemberI noticed this console error at your site:
Google Maps API error: MissingKeyMapError https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#missing-key-map-error
If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.
Please go to wp-admin > Events > Settings > APIs and insert your Google Maps API key: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/

MemberHi. Our Filter Bar paid add-on enables front-end filtering by Organizer. You can see it in action at our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/events/
Our free Advanced Post Manager (APM) plugin enables filtering in wp-admin if you have Events Calendar PRO active.
We also have https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/listing-venues-and-organizers/ (FYI: it needs a code fix to make the list_organizers shortcode display Organizers instead of Venues)
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions on this topic.

MemberHi, Robert. All our pricing is for a year of updates and support. After the year, the product may still work, but you’ll no longer receive updates or support.
You can reference our Subscription Information page at https://theeventscalendar.com/subscription-information/ for a few more details.
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
I hope this info helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
