KeymasterHey Rob,
Thanks for using our plugins and for reaching out with your question.
You wouldn’t lose anything if you should decide that you want to renew after the license has expired. But I’m happy to see you already did renew.
For future reference on license renewal I reco this article:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/expired-licenses/
The validity of the license (of our plugins) does not affect the working of the plugins. They will keep working as intended, you will just not be able to receive updates and premium support. So even if your ET Pro license runs out, you will still be able to use it with WooCommerce.
In time though, if you don’t update for a loooooooong time, you might lose compatibility.
Let me know if this answers your questions or if you have any other.

KeymasterHello again Kymiel,
Thanks for reaching out again with your issue.
I apologize if the previous reply you received seemed like a dismissal. It was certainly not intended as one.
I looked at that previous thread now where I kindly asked you to check whether the issue still exists if you are using the twentysixteen theme. We never received a reply to that thread, and like that it is difficult – if not impossible – to move forward. I also might have provided little information from my side, apologies for that. So let’s try to tackle this together.
Although we usually don’t provide extended support when there is a theme incompatibility, I will try to help you to the best of my knowledge to get this solved for you. To be able to help you efficiently I ask for your cooperation.
As a first please check if you still have the issue with twentysixteen.
You checking if the issue exists with a default theme helps us narrow down the cause of the issue. If it works with twentysixteen, then we know we have to look into the theme you are using. If it doesn’t work with it, then we know we need to look into the plugin code.
After this it would also be great if you could do a test for conflicting plugins. For this, please switch off all your plugins, except the Modern Tribe ones and WooCommerce. If the test above with twentysixteen worked, then leave your theme on. Check if the content becomes visible or not.
Please let me know the results of these and we will take it from there. Without these it is difficult to start anywhere.
Your cooperation is much appreciated and I’ll be waiting for your answers, so we can solve this issue in the shortest time possible.
Cheers,
AndrasAndras
KeymasterHello Kimberly,
Thanks for reaching out with your questions! I’m more than happy to help you out with this.
I checked your site on what exactly you are trying to do and I believe our plugins would be able to help you achieve your goals.
As a base you will need the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
To allow visitors to publish events on your site, you will need our Community Events plugin.
Here you will have a whole bunch of options like, do people need to register on your site before submitting or not, and so on.
This will not let you collect custom information yet, like the Is this an online event? question. For this to happen you will need our Events Calendar Pro plugin, which will allow you to create additional fields, recurring events and so much more.
You didn’t ask this, but in case you would like to sell tickets too on the site, then Event Tickets Plus, and potentially Community Tickets are the plugins that will help you in this.
In case you want to try, I would suggest you to start with the free base The Events Calendar and Community Events, and check if that fulfills your requirements. If not and you want the extra fields for example, then add Events Calendar Pro.
Also note, in case after testing you decide this is not the solution for you, we have a 30-day refund policy. But I doubt it would come to that. 😉
Let me know if this helps or if you have any other questions.
Cheers,
AndrasAndras

KeymasterDear Unity Church,
Thank you for reaching out! Excellent question!
As you pointed out there is the tech support via the forums for our license holders. On top of that, with a valid license you will receive the updated of our premium plugins for the period of the license.
Even though we thoroughly test all our plugins before letting them out in the wild , sometime some bugs and glitches remain. These usually get fixed in the upcoming releases, which you are entitled to if you have a valid license.
Also note, we usually give a discount for license renewals as a way of thank you to our customers. The users usually get an email with a code or a link before the license runs out.
I hope this answers your question. Let me know if I can be of any more help.
Cheers,
AndrasOctober 12, 2016 at 1:52 pm in reply to: 2 Separate images for Events List View and Single Event Page? #1175611Andras
KeymasterHey wizo,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums! Let me try to help you out here.
Out of the box it is not possible to have different images or image sizes on the different view.
With some customization though, I think that could be easily done, however we are limited in supporting customizations, but I can show you in the right direction.
One thinking is doing it with the custom fileds. Adding the image link into a custom field with a unique field name. Then overriding one of the templates so that instead of the featured image, it pulls in the image entered in the custom field.
Here is more info on how to use custom fields:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Custom_FieldsAnd here are two articles about overriding templates in The Events Calendar:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/template-overview/I hope this helps you get started. Let me know if you need anything else.

AndrasOctober 12, 2016 at 1:42 pm in reply to: Event time not importing correctly for iCal import (Events Aggregator) #1175606Andras
KeymasterHey controlyours,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
As a first, please note that we don’t provide support for Release Candidates at all, and for Event Aggregator not yet; we only give support for final releases and we like it if you are using the latest. 🙂
Thanks for the submitted info above.
I’m not sure if I understand correctly… I checked the Science Olympiad 2 event you linked in here, and the way I see it, the event is set up to start AND finish at 3pm.
This is what I get when I hit the iCal export button:
DTSTART;TZID=America/Chicago:20170217T150000
DTEND;TZID=America/Chicago:20170217T150000Am I missing something? Or that event is already the result of the import?

AndrasOctober 12, 2016 at 1:32 pm in reply to: Installed Facebook Events. My events not automatically installed. Some missing #1175603Andras
KeymasterHi there,
Thanks for reaching out with your questions and I’m sorry you are having issues with the Facebook importer. Let me try to help you out.
We are just around the corner of launching The Events Calendar 4.3 (if all goes according to plan, then tomorrow), which includes Event Aggregator.
Event Aggregator is a new event importer service much like TEC: Facebook Events, but it has been freshly developed from the ground up, giving a much more stable and robust codebase and thus better performance and less glitches.
Part of the good news is that users who have a valid license for Facebook Events – like yourself – will get a kick at it. I suggest you give it a try when that comes out and see if that solves the problems. It might be a faster and easier fix then trying to troubleshoot the list of issues above and waiting for a patch.
I hope this gives you a somewhat reasonable answer. Let me know.
Cheers,
Andras -
