Installed Facebook Events. My events not automatically installed. Some missing

OK! Had problems before. Now setting up on new site and same issues.
1. Set for hourly automatic import. I’d expect everything to get imported immediately then in an hour again, but just has list with checkboxes to manually import, and no way to import all at once, would have to import with checks in boxes one by one.
2. Not all events got imported. There is a problem that stems with Facebook in which not all events hosted by us or shared on our page are showing up in our events listing. It seems the ones missing in Facebook Events/The Events Calendar are the same missing on the events listing on our page.
Somehow my other plug-in (Facebook Events Importer) captures all of them. I will manually import missing ones with ID’s, but it would be nice if you could capture them whether or not they were on our events listing in FB (again, since they are buggy).

I went to your site at the domain provided, http://d49.86b.myftpupload.com, but just found a blank white screen. Can you elaborate on where your site is located, specifically?

As for the importing issues:

1. Do event imports work well if you do a manual import?
YES IF BY MANUAL YOU MEAN CHECKING A BOX THAT APPEARS.
2. How many visitors do you have to your site daily, roughly? Do you have only a few? None? A few dozen? A few hundred?

3. After you set up your site’s “Hourly import”, how long was it until you visited your site?
THIS TIME IT’S BEEN ABOUT HALF-HOUR, BUT I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED THE IMPORT TO HAPPEN WHEN REQUESTED, THEN AGAIN IN AN HOUR OR HOWEVER LONG YOU SET IT TO. IN THIS CASE I SET IT TO HOURLY, AND THERE WAS NO INITIAL IMPORT, AND IT SAYS NEXT IMPORT IN 6 HOURS, WHICH IS STRANGE.

Thanks for reaching out with your questions and I’m sorry you are having issues with the Facebook importer. Let me try to help you out.

We are just around the corner of launching The Events Calendar 4.3 (if all goes according to plan, then tomorrow), which includes Event Aggregator.

Event Aggregator is a new event importer service much like TEC: Facebook Events, but it has been freshly developed from the ground up, giving a much more stable and robust codebase and thus better performance and less glitches.

Part of the good news is that users who have a valid license for Facebook Events – like yourself – will get a kick at it. I suggest you give it a try when that comes out and see if that solves the problems. It might be a faster and easier fix then trying to troubleshoot the list of issues above and waiting for a patch.
