    Hello, Stephanie!

Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this ?

Your assumption about using cron seems like the right way to go, Ajax would keep the page from reloading but it’s the cron that would do the heavy lifting here.

There’s nothing like that built into Events Calendar PRO so you would need to customize that yourself. We have a list of freelancers who we would happily recommend for this level of help if that’s something you need.

As always, if you have any other question feel free to reach out. I’m happy to help!

    Cheers,
    Trisha

    Hello, Leo!

Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this ?

The editor should be able to create an event with no problem, and it looks like you’ve gotten part of the way there. This leads me to believe there might be a conflict within your theme or another one of your plugins.

As a first step, would you be so kind as to go through our Testing for Conflicts guide? You can find that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

The information you get from this step should help us narrow down the source of the problem and get you to a resolution.

Let me know how it goes!

    Hello, Logan!

It looks like the editor garbled your code a bit but I think I got the ‘gist’ of it 😉

First off, I do want to note that we are fairly limited in how much we can support custom development questions like this. You can see more about the support options  available here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/

To test, I put the code inside a function and added it to the theme’s functions.php file. I then added tribe_custom_loop() to the archive.php file, both inside and outside the loop. I was able to see output in both cases.

Here is a gist of the function I created:

    https://gist.github.com/trishasalas/50b5225ecf5d40db0e5bc8775fc71fdf

I’m not sure how you were implementing it but my suggestion is to try this (if different than yours) and if this doesn’t work I suspect it may have to do with your theme configuration.

If you’re curious you could go through the ‘Testing for Conflicts’ guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

I hope this help, let me know how it goes!

    Cheers,
    Trisha

    Hi, Logan!

I some testing to see if it would be a quick fix to accommodate your needs but a customization like this is really outside of our scope of support.

I did change the conditionals so that the event will show up only on the month or upcoming views. I’m not sure why the map view would throw a fatal error, I disabled map view locally and did not get the same error. I’m thinking there might be a conflict within your theme, possibly in the load order.

Feel free to work with this code to come up with something that better suits your needs.

    Cheers,
    Trisha

    Hello, Khalid!

Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this ?

We’ve recently upgraded our licensing server and are having a few kinks with it. See this post: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/license-key-problems/

Your license key should still work, no worries there!

If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out, I’m happy to help 🙂

    Hello, Brian!

Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this ?

It sounds like you might need to do something custom as default behavior is to show a certain number of events at a time. Check this article out → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/

Does this answer your question, Let me know how it goes!

    Hello, Jessica!

Thanks for getting in touch! I’m happy to help 🙂

I do want to note that our pre-sales forum is used to answer questions about purchasing our premium plugins.

If you’re looking for technical support, it would be awesome if you could post your question to our WordPress.org support forum.

Or, if you already have an active license for one of premium plugins, will you please log into your account and post your topic to our premium support forum instead?

This said I can give you a quick tip. Check this article out → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-tribe_get_events/

This extension might also be useful: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/advanced-options-for-adding-events-to-the-main-blog-loop/

I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please do post in the appropriate forum and we will be happy to assist you.

    Cheers,
    Trisha

    Hello, Laurent!

Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this 🙂

It sounds like there may be a conflict somewhere, to rule that out it would be super helpful if you could go through our ‘Testing for Conflicts’ guide. You can find that here https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

If you’re unable to test on your main site, perhaps you could install a test site for this purpose. Installing WordPress in a sub-directory is generally a fast and easy process with most hosting control panels and you could use something like Duplicator https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ to make it a replica of the site so that you can test in safety.

Let me know what you find out! I’m happy to help!

    Hi, Paul!

Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this 🙂

You are correct, in this case, the way to resolve this is to delete the Events  Calendar Pro plugin and then upload the new one. You shouldn’t have any trouble using your license key with the new plugin as keys are site dependent.

I hope this helps! Let me know how it goes!

    Hi, Janet!

Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this 🙂

I’m sorry to hear about the frustration but I think I can help here.

Event Aggregator is part of The Events Calendar plugin. Once you enter your license in the license tab it will allow you to import without any problems. The error you’re getting leads me to believe you might not have entered your license. Does this sound right?

Let me know if this helps. If not we may have a different bug on our hands!

    Cheers,
    Trisha

    Hi, Greg!

I’m glad to see this has worked for you so for.

I totally see your point in this situation! There is absolutely a way to do what you’re asking.

The best way to do this is to copy the stylesheet that you’re using into your child theme.

Make a note of which stylesheet you’re using, you can check this by going to ‘Events > Settings > Display’ in the WordPress admin. See the screenshot below for an example.

The stylesheets are located at ‘the-events-calendar/src/resources/css/

From there follow the specific instructions in the Themer’s Guide. Scroll down to the section entitled ‘Customizing Styles’.  You can find the Themer’s Guide here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/themers-guide/

There are also instructions at the very top of the file you’re moving.

Does this help answer your question? Let me know if you need any clarification or have any questions, I’m happy to help 🙂
