MemberHello, AJ!
Thank you for using The Events Calendar! I can help with this ?
You’re definitely on the right track!
To start with, modifying the ‘additional-fields.php’ template would involve removing all the content. Go ahead and copy what’s there as you’ll want it for the next step.
After you do that, place the copied content from the additional fields template in the location that you want the additional fields to display.
The only twist here is that you have to define the ‘$fields’ variable since you’re not in the template it expects you to be.
$fields = tribe_get_custom_fields();
You’ll end up with something like this:
https://gist.github.com/trishasalas/b099a3f98c7cb9659663b71ac151aef4Of course, you can change the markup in there to suit your purposes.
Does this help answer your question? Let me know how it goes!

MemberHi, Saif!
I made some good progress today! I dequeued several scripts and re-enqueued them properly. I’m still hunting down a few…I’ll keep you posted!

My pleasure, happy to help 🙂
Unfortunately, the spreadsheet didn’t make it through. You can send that to [email protected] with attn: Trisha in the subject line.
I’ll wait to hear from you!

MemberHi, Karen!
I did some digging around in the code to see if there was a filter we could use. I understand the frustration of the ongoing editing!
I was able to come up with something, it works locally and I’m hopeful it will work for you.
First, download, install and activate this plugin on your site:Â https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/
Next, add the following code as a snippet to the plugin above: https://gist.github.com/trishasalas/b9f5704abfd87a3781470a0f8310ddba
It will look like this in the admin area:

Let me know if this works for you!

Without being able to see the site in action it’s hard to troubleshoot. It sounds like a plugin or theme conflict of some sort. You say you switched to the default theme, did you also deactivate all plugins except The Events Calendar plugins?
You say you switched to the default theme and the problem persisted? Did you also deactivate all plugins except The Events Calendar plugins? If not I’d go through those steps.
We have a Testing for Conflicts guide that goes through that in detail, you can find that here:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Does this help answer your question? Let me know how it goes!

Hrm, that is very odd indeed! You have quite a few errors on the calendar page itself (see the screenshot below)

The fact that you have duplicate Google Maps API keys should be addressed but the thing that sticks out to me here is the WordFence error.
I think it would be a good idea to go through the ‘Testing for Conflicts’ guide. You can find that here:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/Â This will either confirm a WordFence issue or point to something else.
If it is WordFence you can probably fix it by adjusting your settings within WordFence itself. You’d need to contact them for anything specific.
Let me know what you find out!

I wanted to confirm that I got the database dump. I’m going to try and replicate the issue and will get back to you asap!

When you say you have 4Â events that occur one time each year or 1 event that occurs 4 times in a year?
The recurrence values we support can handle almost anything but I’m sure there are edge cases that would be challenging.
It might be helpful if you could share the dates with me and I’ll see if I can make it happen. I was able to fix one up recently that I didn’t think would work so I have hope!

I do want to note that our pre-sales forum is used to answer questions about purchasing our premium plugins.
If you’re looking for technical support, it would be awesome if you could post your question to our WordPress.org support forum.
Or, if you already have an active license for one of premium plugins, will you please log into your account and post your topic to our premium support forum instead?
This said I can give you a quick tip. What you’re describing sounds like a javascript (or some other) conflict in the admin area. As a first step, I would see if the plugin works with one of the default themes and all other plugins deactivated. If it does then you can begin the troubleshooting process from there.
I’ll go ahead and close out this thread, but please do post in the appropriate forum and we will be happy to assist you.

This does sound like something to approach the theme authors about as well.
