    Hi again,

    Thanks for the additional information.

Looking at the .ics file, I see that event is scheduled to happen for six weeks, starting on Sunday September 23rd. Each event lasts all week. (I see it as September 23 – 29, September 30 – October 6, etc )

Can you tell me exactly what you are seeing? I am not able to access your site.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be a way around this at the moment. I asked some of my colleagues about this, and the idea of creating a unique role or capability for managing attendees is something being discussed for the future.

I looked at the relevant code, and it seems that “edit_posts” is hardcoded in there, with no filters allowing it to be changed.

Sorry I didn’t have better news for you on this.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

There should be a ticket form right on the single event page, negating the need to even go to Eventbrite.

Is that event connected to Eventbrite, or did you just import it? Is the event public? For tickets to show, the event needs to public. Or, there is an extension that allows you to display non-public event tickets here: https://theeventscalendar.com/extensions/eventbrite-additional-options/

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Aggregator imports. I will try to help you get this sorted.

You definitely want to use the URL with the .ics extension. I was able to successfully import from that URL.

Can you tell me what you have set in Events > Settings > Import for “Import Limit Type” and “Date Range”?

Sometimes if this is set to import too many events at once, it can timeout during the process. You might try adjusting to get fewer events at a time.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your tickets displaying. I will try to help you get this figured out.

Our plugins do not add a “buy now” button to the single events pages. Some themes include this with a custom template however. If your theme is adding custom functionality here and it’s not working, you will need to contact the theme authors for assistance in figuring out the problem.

Can you try temporarily switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme and disabling all other plugins to see if the default ticket interface is showing up?

You should also double check the start and end sale dates on the tickets settings, under “advanced”

Let me know how that goes.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Jacqueline,

Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your question.

This happens when another plugin adds a column to the events post admin. There are two ways that you can solve this.

The first is to click the “screen options” tab at the top right of the screen. Uncheck one or more columns until everything fits right.

The other option is to install our free Advanced Post Manager plugin. It allows finer grain control over the Events admin page, but usually just activating the plugin will solve the issue.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this.

    Thanks,

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Aggregator imports. I will try to help you get this sorted.

I tried importing from the url you provided, and everything worked as expected. Looking at the Aggregator service records, I don’t see any failed requests, and the last imports that were processed were two weeks ago. This means the request aren’t even making it to the server.

I see from your screenshot that their is an error message in the feed url field. Is this showing up there after clicking “preview?”

Can you try running through the troubleshooting steps outlined in Testing for Conflicts Guide to see if this could be caused by a problem with your theme or one of your other plugins?

Try recreating and running the import with the Twenty Seventeen theme enabled and all other plugins disabled.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with recurring events. I will try to help you get this sorted.

I replicated both recurrence patterns in my test install, and I’m not seeing any of the issues you illustrated. Can you share your system information with me?

    Thanks,

    Hi Frank,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your imports. I will try to help you get this sorted.

Can you share the source feed url so I can try this on my end?

Looking at the other support threads you linked to, there are several distinct issues being mentioned. Any that pertain to “recurring events” are not going to be related to issues with imports. Some of the others are due to issues with Outlook calendars, which do not follow the ical protocol standards.

Is your calendar from an Outlook source?

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Brian,

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help with your questions.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by “push that data to the Calendar” in the context of a widget, but there’s a lot of functions, hooks and filters within our plugins that can be used to create custom functionality. You can find more information on our documentation page: https://theeventscalendar.com/?s=tribe_&submit=Search&post_type%5B%5D=wp-parser-function&post_type%5B%5D=wp-parser-hook

You are correct, custom fields in a Pro feature. Pro also comes with a collection of Events widgets. If none of the widgets do what you need, you may be able to use the code as an example of using the Events Calendar data in a widget.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi again,

It looks like the styles that are doing that are in Avada. Not sure why they would specify something like that, but it looks intentional.

You can override this with the following CSS:

    #tribe-events-bar:before {
    width: 100%!important;
    left: 0!important;
    }

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks,

    Hi again,

Unfortunately, we cannot login to customer sites to make changes.

I do however, think I have a working solution for you. Another customer asked a similar question yesterday and I came up with something that I think is what you need.

Instead of sorting the events randomly, you can sort by date and put the newest events at the top and long running events on the bottom.

Try this snippet that I created:

    https://gist.github.com/skyshab/398dd54a41389c39b682a3c32c5dc716

One of the other problems you may have been having with the code is that the photo view seems to have a higher priority for the filter. I had to bump that up to 500 in my code for it to take effect.

Let me know if that works for you.

    Thanks,
    Sky
