Hi There!
Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, including a fix for this issue.
Find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-11-november-2018/
We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.
As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.
Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for your site.
Regards,
SkySkyKeymasterHi again,
Great! I’m glad you were able to import manually. This is the purpose of the links, and we are not providing a different file or anything if they are accessed by a calendar feed scraper.
We haven’t seen any more instances of this issue beyond you and the other customer I referenced. I’m afraid out of suggestions of things to try to resolve this.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to find a solution for you. Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this.
Thanks,
SkySkyKeymasterHi again,
Glad to hear that you got it sorted!
Please let us know if you have any questions or issues in the future.

SkyKeymasterHi again,
Please note that we are limited in the amount of support we can provide for customizations such as this. We’re happy to help when it’s something we can quickly refer you to a snippet or documentation. If you’re not able to get the snippets we provide working, you’ll need to find a professional developer who can assist you.
We share snippets amongst each other, and the code I’ve provided is using basic WordPress functionality to modify the query. The only thing specific to our plugins in there is the conditional, which I recommended temporarily removing to troubleshoot. If it still doesn’t work for you without the conditional, I would suggest visiting the WordPress Codex or Developer’s Resources site to see how the hook and query object works, and you can modify it as needed.
I’m sorry I wasn’t able to help to your satisfaction, but I wish you luck getting it figured out.
Thanks,
SkySkyKeymasterHi again,
You can try creating a quick WordPress instance on http://poopy.life
If you are able to recreate the issue there, let me know and I’ll take a look at what you’re doing.
Thanks,
SkySkyKeymasterHi again,
We usually recommend the Members plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/members/.
Our plugins don’t have any special integration features for these types of plugins. You would need to figure out how to integrate the functionality you require.
We do not offer site development services for smaller projects.
As I mentioned, we are working on ways to improve managing organizer payments. But currently, you would need to collect all of the money and manually take your cut and pay out the organizers.
Thanks,

I tried testing again, and I am seeing the descriptions being imported with the events.
In order to have the tickets synced properly, we need to figure out why you are unable to connect with your Eventbrite account.
Do you have a staging site? I think trying to re set up your connection to Eventbrite on your site with the Twenty Seventeen theme enabled and all other plugins disabled would be the place to start. If we can get it working in that configuration, you could then re enable everything one at a time to see if something in particular is creating an issue.
I would try the above with both options for the “Import Process System”.
If you are still unable to connect during this troubleshooting, I can then create a bug ticket to have the developers look at it.
Is this something you are able to do? If you do not have a staging server, you can try setting one up on http://poopy.life .
Thanks,
SkySkyKeymasterHi again,
Glad that it’s working on the test site. I would try to reproduce all of the settings of the live site on the test site to see if you reproduce the issue and figure out which setting is responsible.
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks,
SkySkyKeymasterHi again,
Are you also switching to the Twenty Seventeen theme to test? That’s the most likely culprit.
Thanks,
