ParticipantIs it possible to have an event be considered ‘passed’ when the event end time had been reached, rather than 12:00 am on the date of the event?
There’s a public thread here, but it’s from a few years ago, It’s basically the same questions though:
Event ended a few hours ago, but it's still at the top of my event list?
thanks!October 3, 2018 at 11:02 am #1636578Sky
KeymasterHi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I’d be happy to help with your question.
In Events > Settings > “End of day cutoff” you can set this to a later time if you have events that run past midnight.
Let me know if that helps!

ParticipantHi Sky,
Thanks for your reply.
I may not have explained it well. Here’s a more detailed explanation.
Let’s say I have an event scheduled for Oct 3rd 7:30pm MST
And let’s say today is Oct 3rd. Even though it’s 3:00pm MST this event seems to disappear off all event displays except the ‘Month’ and ‘Day’ version. When the ‘Day’ version is viewed, and then the ‘Map’ version is viewed after, it then does then appear listed in the map version. But it looks like the URL is slightly different:http://innerjourneys.ca/schedule/ or http://innerjourneys.ca/schedule/?tribe_event_display=map
vs.It looks like changing it to
might work, but maybe there’s a better way to do this?October 3, 2018 at 5:35 pm #1636866soulfire.design
ParticipantAlso, I’m using the shortcode [tribe_events view=”map”]
on the innerjourneys.ca/schedule/ pageOctober 4, 2018 at 9:07 am #1637428Sky
KeymasterHi again,
Thanks for the additional details. Looking at your site, I see that the events are marked as “UTC+0” timezone. If you are not in this timezone, you may see a difference in when the event is considered “passed.”
Can you share your settings for your site’s timezone in WordPress > Settings > General > Time Zone, and in Events > Settings > General > Time Zone mode?
And then for one of the events, what timezone shows in the admin next to the date and time?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Sky,
Yes, the UTC timezone in the wordpress general settings was the issue – thank you!October 8, 2018 at 8:18 am #1639510Sky
KeymasterHi again,
Great! Glad to hear that you were able to get this figured out.
Please let us know if you have any questions or issues in the future.
Thanks,
