    Hi Angela!

I will try to help you out with this. It looks like the link in that other post pointed to a deprecated version of one of the source files, and is no longer going to be relevant.

The best way to change the events page permalink is going to be using the WordPress function “add_rewrite_rules” from your child theme’s functions.php. You can read the documentation here: https://codex.wordpress.org/Rewrite_API/add_rewrite_rule. Unfortunately, this is a bit beyond the scope of what we can offer here in terms of support, and may require some advanced knowledge to get it set up properly.

Good luck and let us know if you are able to get it working!

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Alex!

WooCommerce Tickets was retired a few years ago and replaced with Events Tickets Plus. You can read more about the change here: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-wootickets/. I would recommend updating to Events Tickets Plus and the latest version of the Events Calendar and see if that fixes your issues.

As to your question about duplicating events: this is not currently a feature available in the Events Calendar. You would need a third party plugin for duplicating custom post types to achieve that.

Check out the Events Tickets and Events Tickets Plus plugins, and let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky

    Hi Martina!

If I understand correctly, you are wanting the Events Calendar to pull in data about the event from a separate blog post?

This is not something the Events Calendar can do without significant customization. However, it’s really easy to embed an event in another post. You simply paste the event permalink into the post content and it will display the event information in your article. There is an example of what that looks like on this page:  https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/inserting-calendar-content-posts-pages/#single-events

If you need more customization than that, The Events Calendar Pro has shortcodes that let you display more specific event data.

Let me know if that sounds like it will work with your needs, or if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky
