    Hi!

I have a client that has asked us to take over an existing wordpress website that uses Woocommerce along with The Events Calendar (Version 4.0.4) and The Events Calendar: WooCommerce Tickets (Version 3.12.1).

One thing we did notice is that the license key under settings says: “Sorry, this key is not valid.”

They came to us with a few “issues” regarding the plugin, but we cannot work out if the version they have is quite old since it doesn’t mention updates required in the plugin list, but if there is a later version, maybe their problems have already been resolved…

    The issues they have are:

    • Events don’t automatically appear in the front end by date order for the event, but instead by event creation – is there a setting for this?
    • We cannot see a way to duplicate an existing event / ticket and just change the date for new ones – is this possible? (I know we can achieve this by a plugin if need be, but checking if it’s built in)
    • When adding a ticket to an event with the WooCommerce tickets plugin, there is an option on existing tickets when hovering over it to edit or delete, but my client has said it’s very easy to hit delete instead of edit, and there’s no dialogue window that pops up to make sure you want to delete it! Is this fixable?

    Thanks for your help!

    regards, Alex

    Hi Alex!

WooCommerce Tickets was retired a few years ago and replaced with Events Tickets Plus. You can read more about the change here: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-wootickets/. I would recommend updating to Events Tickets Plus and the latest version of the Events Calendar and see if that fixes your issues.

As to your question about duplicating events: this is not currently a feature available in the Events Calendar. You would need a third party plugin for duplicating custom post types to achieve that.

Check out the Events Tickets and Events Tickets Plus plugins, and let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Sky

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
