    Hi Jennie,

As a designer myself, I have to say, first of all, the new site is coming along great! Awesome job with that. πŸ™‚

As for the issues exporting events:

I did some experimenting with this on my own test site (which also has 500+ events), and I was able to export them and import them to the same site with no issues (other than the fact that I now have duplicates of all of my events, hah!). I’m inclined to think that your issues may be related to a server timeout or some other host-imposed limitation. Have you tried reaching out to them to see if they have any restrictions on the server that may be causing this error?

Let me know what they say, and we’ll work from there!

    Cheers,

    Shelby πŸ™‚

    Hi Nygrd,

Thanks for reaching out, I’m happy to help here!

Could you explain in more detail what you mean when you say, “I need this widget to show upcoming events independent of the current month.” ? For example, do you mean showing events beyond the current month in a list below the mini calendar, or perhaps, that you would be able to click to the next month and see a mini calendar for that as well? Please advise. πŸ™‚

After you get me the more detailed information, I should be able to help you out with suggesting a feature, andΒ possibly find a work around for the meantime.

    Cheers!

    Hi Shekel,

Thanks for posting, and for considering our plugins, I’ll respond below to each of your questions πŸ™‚

I’m considering purchasing the Event Calendar Pro. (I have the free version installed)
I need to know, which version to buy if I want my customers to be able to submit events?

You’ll need Community Events & The Events Calendar (free), you don’t need Events Calendar PRO. πŸ™‚

I want the events to show (by way of a tab) on their personal profile pages and their location group pages. From both of these places, they should be able to create an event.

Unfortunately, this is not a built in feature of the plugin, and you’ll have to work with a developer to customize it to this effect.Β

I would then have a central calendar where all the events for the towns & counties would be listed.

This would be the main calendar, similar to what you have now. πŸ™‚

I would like the central view on the main page to be like the screenshots on your site. (5th & 7th).

Could you attach the screenshots you’re referencing please?

In addition, if you are not a member of the site, you should be able to see the events posted (pictures and areas) but not the actual details of the event. i.e address, date and time.

Unfortunately, this is not a built in feature of the plugin, and you’ll have to work with a developer to customize it to this effect.Β

I also understand that you operate a 30 day refund if the product does not suit my requirements, is this correct?

    This is correct. πŸ™‚

I hope this answers your questions, please respond if you have any follow up questions or need clarifications!

    Cheers,

    Shelby πŸ™‚

    Hey Sarmad,

    Thanks for using our plugins!

Since you seem to be a current user of our premium plugins and/or free plugins, I recommend reaching out to our support on the Events Calendar PRO premium forum or WordPress.org forum. In those places, we have the capacity to provide more technical support. This Pre-Sales forum is reserved specifically for questions about the features of our plugins for users who are making decisions about which, if any, to purchase.

Let me know if I can clarify any of this!

    Best,

    Hi Suzanne,

I’d be happy to help you out with this! πŸ™‚

Unfortunately, I’m unable to replicate this issue on your site. Could you perhaps provide screenshots so I can make sure I’m understanding the issue fully and looking for the correct things? Also, a step by step list of how to replicate (with steps like “Click on ____”) would be very helpful.

After I hear back from you, we should be able to get this sorted out. πŸ™‚

    Best,

    Hey Dan,

Thanks for using The Events Calendar, I’m happy to help you out with this! πŸ™‚

Sounds like you’re trying to make some pretty cool changes! πŸ™‚ I want to make sure I’m understanding exactly what you’re trying to do, could you possibly send me some screenshots denoting the changes you want to make and a link to where you currently have the mini calendar your site? This will help me give you better guidance in this matter if I understand the application of your request more directly (plus I’m a visual person).

In the meantime, I think you may find this knowledgebase article helpful for the types of changes you’re trying to make. πŸ™‚ Once I hear back from you, hopefully I can give you more specific resources.

    Cheers!

    Hi Sung Min,

Awesome question, so happy you’re considering our plugins for this! πŸ™‚

The short answer is, yes, Β you can set up something like this with Events Calendar PRO, using the week view (shown here on our demo site, WP Shindig). πŸ™‚

Please let me know if you have any further questions about this. πŸ™‚

    Hey Tim,

Thanks for using The Events Calendar, I’m happy to help you out with this! πŸ™‚

Sounds like you’re trying to make some pretty cool changes! πŸ™‚ I want to make sure I’m understanding exactly what you’re trying to do, could you possibly send me some screenshots denoting the changes you want to make? In the meantime, I think you may find our Themer’s Guide and our Functions List helpful for the types of changes you’re trying to make, though I have a feeling you’ve already checked these out. πŸ™‚ Once I hear back from you, hopefully I can give you more specific resources.

    Hey Steven,

Since you’ve confirmed that it’s not a conflict, and I’m not able to replicate this issue on my end, I’m inclined to think that it may be related to the “Must Use” caching plugin, that I’m assuming is dictated by your host. Would you mind telling me who you’re hosting with? It would be worth it to reach out to them about clearing that cache, especially since the error you’re pulling is a 500 (server-related) error.

Let me know if you need any clarification on this.

    Hi Melissa,

Sure, thanks for the extra context! πŸ™‚ In order to accomplish this, (Events with fees) you’ll need the following plugins (and it won’t require code):

Please let us know if you have any further questions about this!

    Hi hedu,

When I say customization, it could be accomplished a few ways:

    • As you said, work in the template files, which would need to be transferred over after updates
    • Custom functions in your functions.php and/or custom css in your style.css that draw on the plugin’s code
    • Writing a custom plugin that would also draw on our plugin’s code

    Hope this helps!
