    Hey Joseph,

Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you with the troubleshooting!

As I can see from your system info you are running Events Calendar PRO version 4.4.13: please update it to version 4.4.16 and try to edit your recurring events after that.

If the issue persists after the plugin update, could you please temporarily deactivate all of your plugins (except Modern Tribe plugins) and change your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and let us know if the issue persists after that? You will find further information about our conflict test here.

Also, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while trying to edit recurring events. All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log.

    Thanks!

    Hey Emanuele,

Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you with the troubleshooting!

Could you please go to Events > Settings > APIs tab and under Facebook click “Refresh your connection with Facebook” button to see if it changes anything?

If the issue persists after trying to refresh your connection, I would suggest you to click on “Disconnect” and after that reconnect to Facebook again.

If none of these options helps to solve your problem, can you please temporarily deactivate all of your plugins (except Modern Tribe plugins) and change your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and let us know if the issue persists after that?

Also, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share with us any messages you see while trying to import some events. All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content/debug.log.

    Thanks!

    Hi Doug,

This error is associated with the MySQL max_allowed_packet variable.

This is something your hosting provider might be able to help you with: contact them and ask to set a larger value for this variable.

To confirm if your plugins were successfully updated, please compare their versions with the ones provided here.

If you verify that the update didn’t succeed, please try again after your hosting provider increased the max_allowed_packet value.

Let me know if you need anything else in the mean time!

    Regards,

    Hey Becky,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

You can change the Buy Now button text by adding this filter to your theme’s functions.php file:

    Hi Thomas,

I’m very sorry to know that your license key is not being validated, let me help you to solve this problem!

You mentioned that you already re-entered your EA license and the issue persists, but can you please do it again by following the steps mentioned bellow and check your Event Aggregator System Status after that?

Please access your Dashboard and head over to Events > Settings > Licenses, delete your EA license key and press the “Save Changes” button in the end of that page.

After that, please disconnect your license here and then re-enter your license again via WP Dashboard.

Once you’ve completed these steps, please head over to Events > Help > Event Aggregator System Status and let me know if you see any warnings/messages there.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

This is definitely something worth investigating. Can you please share with us in a private reply your CSV file?

You mentioned that you are using Bulk Delete to clear out the events and that this process triggers Events Aggregator and the CSV import starts again by itself (without your request). I can’t think of anything else except an unusual plugin conflict causing the issue here.

Once you share your CSV file with us, I’ll run some tests from my end to further investigate.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben,

I didn’t realize that this option would be the cause of the issue until I’ve found it disabled in your site!

I’m glad to know that everything is working as expected for you as well.

    Hey Dorothy,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

I’m glad to know that your imports are working as expected now! Answering your question, the scheduled imports won’t duplicate your events, they will just be updated based on your configs at Events -> Settings -> Imports -> Event Update Authority.

You can choose between three options:

1- Overwrite your event with any changes from the original source.

2- Do not re-import events. Changes made locally will be preserved.

3- Import events but preserve local changes to event fields.

You will find further information about these settings in the following article:

    Event Aggregator Import Settings

I hope this helps! If you need further assistance on this, please let me know!

    Hey Nathan,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

You can select multiple categories by changing the Category Filter from the default Dropdown menu to Checkboxes.

Please access your Dashboard and head over to Events > Settings > Filters and click on “Event Categories” to make this change.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Jerry,

    Welcome back!

That snippet shared with you in our previous thread was written to reverse the chronological order of Past Events only, and it is working as expected as I can see from here.

I would suggest you to check your theme’s functions.php file and look for any additional custom code that might be causing this issue. Also, can you please send us a screenshot from the page where you are seeing your Upcoming events in reverse chronological order while having this snippet enabled in functions.php file?

I’m curious to know why this is happening since that snippet is using the tribe_is_past function as a validation to reverse the chronological order.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ben!

I’ve found the cause of the issue you were experiencing:

Please access your Dashboard and head over to Events → Settings → Display. When I first accessed this page, only Photo view was enabled while the default view was set to Month. Basically the month view wasn’t enabled in your calendar settings, that’s the reason why you were getting that 404 error.

At this moment I’ve enabled all event views and your calendar is working as expected.

If you want to use only photo view in your site, please make sure to enable Photo view and also change the default view to photo, otherwise you will get this 404 error again.

If you have any other questions in the mean time please let me know and I’ll be happy to assist!

    Best regards,

    Patricia
