May 24, 2016 at 2:50 pm in reply to: Updates for Plugin Not showing โ The Events Calendar Pro #1118435
Nico
MemberHey Chris,
Sorry to hear that this is still an issue for you ๐
We recently have been discussing this issue with the team, as we are aware this a continuous issue for some of our customers. I also created an internal bug ticket from your last thread.
The immediate actions we took were to update the knowledge base article and the warning message as well. There solution for this is not quite straightforward as it might seem, there some things to consider:
- The WordPress way is to expose theme/plugin updates at network admin level
- Part of the rationale for this is that an update will impact the entire network (ie, update PRO for one site and it is updated for all of them) so it seems right to keep this at network level
- We could possibly let individual site admins add their license keys on a per-site basis but:
- The update would still need to happen at network level (though this would at least let a site admin prompt the network admin)
- Assuming the plugin in question isn’t network activated, it’s still going to require a manual update by the super admin
- Possible impact of a user updating a plugin that might be shared with other subsites
The ticket is assigned to a future release, coming out this year probably but not soon and still to determine. Sorry not to have an immediate solution for this.

MemberThanks for confirming!
Here’s the code, just paste in the theme (or child theme) functions.php file:

Give a try an let me know about it,

MemberThanks for following up Oliver!
I find this a bit strange because by default it will show the upcoming event instances, if there are any of course.
Can you please send over the exact code you are using the get the upcoming event in that page?
Thanks,
NicoNico
MemberThanks for following up Martin!
The list won’t contain the ticket price, but I’m mostly sure that’s something doable with a simple code snippet!
Will it indicate how many tickets were purchased if a buyer purchased more than one โ or will he be mentioned several times in the list (according to the number he purchased)?
It will generate a new line for each individual ticket as each of them have a unique ticket ID, security code and check-in status.

MemberHowdy Yury,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us!
Let me start by saying almost every issue you describe seems to be related with the theme you are using, and we cannot support theme specific issues like elements alignment or spacing. I’ll go over each question anyway:
1) Submit Button is not displaying. Picture 7-1. Submit Button is displayed in my theme with the old version of the plugin (3.9.1, picture 7-2), but after updating the plugin Submit Button is not displayed.
Per your last message I understand it’s working now.
2) In all view types, Datepicker is displayed incorrectly. Picture 2-1. And in the map view Datepicker is not working and not displaying. Picture 2-2.
Can you please follow the steps described in our Testing for conflicts guide? This way we can see if this is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.
3) Datepicker is not working and not displaying in the mobile view. Picture 3.
Same as above!
4) Other screen elements overlap Tooltip. Picture 4.
This is a theme specific issue, but if you send over a link to the site I can take a look and see if there’s an easy workaround for this.
5) In the Map View tribe-events-event-cost is not displayed on the same line with the title, it appears higher than the title. Picture 5-1. In all other view types no such problem. Picture 5-2.
This is a styling issue as well!
6) In the mobile version of List View span.tribe-event-date-start is not displayed on the same line with div.tribe-events-venue-details. Itโs ugly rests on the edge of the block. Picture 6-1 (1). In all other view types no such problem. Picture 6-2.
Other styling issue ๐
7) I would like to remove an ยป item, which stands after Find Out More. Picture 6-1 (2). How can I do that?
Well, it’s not as simple as it might seem! This can be removed, but you’ll need to edit a couple of template to remove it (check out our themer’s guide on it). So before explaining out to do this. Do you think this solution works for you or is it a bit of an overkill?
Please let me know about it,

MemberHey Joana,
Thanks for the patience!
I played around with the filters in the site and thought of something that could be leading to the error. The venue filter is set to autocomplete, Can you change that to dropdown in WP-Admin > Events > Settings > Filters and re-test?
Regarding the issue in month view there seems to be a general performance issue leading to a database error right now. Can you contact your hosting provider for more information on this? I’m not sure that issue is specific to our plugin…

MemberHey @imaginate,
Thanks for reaching and also for updating the thread with your solution ๐
Indeed the code for week view uses the WordPress setting for ‘Start of the week’. While this cannot be changed (there’s no filter to override this in the Week View class) you might be able to make a cron script to change the WordPress ‘Start of the week’ option to the current day. Of course this might affect other things in the site and it’s just an idea of how this could be possible.
Please let me know if there’s anything else I can help you with,

MemberHowdy Modar,
Welcome to our support forums and thanks for reaching out to us. I’ll help you here…
I just gave this a spin locally and it seems to be working fine on my end. These are the steps I took (with default theme and no other plugins active):
- Create a new event in the future
- Add a new RSVP ticket
- Toggle the option to hide the attendees list on/off and Save changes
- Confirm the result in the event (front-end of the site)
Are there any differences in what you are testing? Are you adding tickets to events or other post types? Are this tickets RSVP tickets or other type? Are you trying this with existing events or new events?
Also, can you try the steps that I described to see if we are on the same page at least with that test?

MemberHi Silvia,
Thanks for reaching out to us and for you interest in our products ๐
We currently have an add-on to import events from other calendars (like Google Calendar): iCal Importer. Basically it let’s you import events from any ical feed. Take a look at this article on Import events from Google Calendar and let me know if you have doubts about it.

MemberHi there @reelrock,
Thanks for reaching out on this! I can help you out here…
What you describe is the default behaviour (try to move the date param when switching views).
Basically, I would like that whenever you are in list view, it always shows all the events, with no date filtering.
So, if you want to do this I can prepare a snippet for list view to ignore the tribe-bar-date parameter. Does that sound right? Or do you need this to work for other views / scenarios as well?
Please let me know about it,
Best,
NicoNico
MemberHi Dave,
Seems this thread has been re-opened by Brook, with the bulk update after the release. The bug ticket was associated with the maintenance release that just came out but while investigating the issue we discovered there was a bug in Sensei that caused the issue. We worked with the Sensei team on this and the released an update (1.9.6) with a fix for this. The other folks in here confirmed the update fixes the issue!
If you still haven’t updated Sensei, just go ahead and do so. On the other hand if you updated Sensei but still seeing issues please open up a new thread so we can continue to help you out. I’ll close this out so other folks here don’t get more updates on this resolved issue!

MemberHey Ross,
Thanks for following up!
In the case you need all the content to be city specific you’ll have to think of a global solution indeed. Maybe using post tags (which events use as well) to filter all the content queries works for you. Again, this is definitively not something built in our product, but surely something achievable with some custom code!
As you marked this as resolved, Iโll go ahead and close out this thread, but if you need help with anything else please donโt hesitate to create a new one and we will be happy to assist you.
Best,
