    Hi Genil,

Thanks for stopping by–glad to hear that you’re interested in giving our plugins a try! I’d be more than glad to take a moment to answer your questions here! 🙂

    1. We don’t offer any demo or trial versions of our products at this time–rather than rely on restrictive methods such as feature-limited trial downloads, we’ve chosen to instead provide a full 30-day refund policy for all of our plugins. Feel free to deploy the full versions of our products on your site and test the complete range of features at your disposal! Should you encounter any issues, you’ll have ready access to our premium support services, and we’ll be glad to process a refund for any reason within your 30-day trial should you decide Events Calendar PRO isn’t right for you.
    2. By default, only users with administrator-level permissions can create events using The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO, and these events are published to your calendar automatically. If you require user-submitted event functionality, this is available separate through our Community Events plugin.
    3. You certainly can! Our Themer’s Guide is a great starting point for any customizations you’d like to make to our plugin templates, and there’s plenty of inspiration to be found in our showcase!
    4. Yes, events can be assigned to event categories as desired, and each category can be viewed as its own separate calendar view–you can even link to specific category calendars from your existing pages or navigation bars.
    5. Both The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO provide some basic event search functionality, including date filtering and keyword search. Events Calendar PRO adds location search to the list of options, and Filter Bar adds many more. Feel free to choose the option that’s best for you depending on your needs!
    6. If you’d like to create tickets for events and accept payment via PayPal, this is supported by our Event Tickets Plus plugin and the e-commerce platform of your choice (such as WooCommerce).
    7. Certainly–fields that are left blank when creating an event will simply not be displayed to users, so you can fill in only the fields you need to use.
    8. Can you clarify what type of package you’re looking to create here?

I hope that helps! Thanks, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi John,

Thanks for reaching out! While this certainly may be possible to do with Event Tickets Plus, this type of functionality would be handled by the e-commerce platform of your choice (such as WooCommerce) and any type of plugins or extensions that are added to expand its functionality. Event Tickets Plus does not handle any part of payment processing or order management and redirects all of this functionality through the e-commerce product with which it’s paired. I’d suggest looking into options for your preferred e-commerce platform and perhaps testing a few with Event Tickets Plus to see if you’re able to achieve the intended effect! If you should find that you’re not able to settle on a working setup for your project, you’ll be covered by our 30-day return policy, and we’ll be glad to refund your full purchase price.

I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Lauren,

Thanks so much for getting in touch! I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for current plugin users here in our pre-sales forum. We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:

If you can, please take the time to confirm in your post that you’ve run through our conflict testing steps prior to contacting us–this will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! 🙂

Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for reaching out! While we don’t offer a built-in method for assigning specific templates to certain categories, this is certainly something that could be achieved by way of customizations! This thread is several years old and was written with a much earlier version of The Events Calendar in mind, but the basic method behind constructing this type of setup should be mostly unchanged! I’d suggest pairing these suggestions with the information in our Themer’s Guide to craft something that’s suitable for your needs and compatible with the latest versions of our plugins. 🙂

I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Billy,

Thanks for following up with some more details here–very interesting! If you have any other plugins installed that interact with the scheduling or execution of cron jobs, this may be the source of your problem. Regardless, we’d certainly like to take a closer look and figure out what’s happening with any potential theme or plugin conflicts across the board! Let us know when you’re able to complete a round of conflict testing using the steps provided here, and we’ll see where we can go from there! 🙂

    Thank you!

    Hi Uwe,

Thanks for taking a moment to share your information with us–and glad to hear that you were able to split off your event series and recreate the bugged event! Without completing a full round of troubleshooting, it’s difficult to speculate on exactly what might have caused your event to return a fatal error. However, I’d suggest starting off with a round of updates to bring all of your plugins (particularly ours) to their latest available versions! You may also wish to try clearing your site cache using the directions provided by your caching plugin author. If you should have any other events that show this problem, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us again, and we’ll see about tackling some more in-depth troubleshooting right away. 🙂

I hope that helps! Cheers, and let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist!

    Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for following up with some more information here–great detective work! I’ve just attempted to replicate this issue with a caching plugin on a test site, but unfortunately the problem is not yet reproducible.

In reviewing your system information as provided here, it looks like you have three caching plugins currently installed on your site (WE-Varnish-Cache as well as free and premium versions of WP Fastest Cache). Are you able to disable these plugins and install a single copy of another caching plugin, such as W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache, to test?

Thanks, and let us know what the result is after testing one of these!

    Hi Melanie,

Thanks for confirming! Yes, these listed versions are the ones you’ll want to upgrade to across the board. Please install these versions and let us know if there’s any change once you’re able to test again! If not, we’ll move right on to the next step in troubleshooting, 🙂

    Thank you!

    Hi Jenny,

Happy to assist! Our CSV import tool actually supports the importing of not just events, but also venues, organizers, RSVPs, and tickets. We’ve provided a Knowledgebase article here with sample data for all of these import types, plus downloadable template files that can be used to set up your own CSVs for easy data import.

Does that help to address your concerns here? Let me know if there’s anything else that I can help with! 🙂 Thanks again!

    Hi Billy,

Thanks for following up to share those links with us! After running a few imports using both files on a test site, I wasn’t able to replicate the event duplication that you’re seeing on your site. As our next step in troubleshooting, would you mind taking a few minutes to run through a round of conflict testing on your site? This will help us to determine if a conflict with a third-party plugin is causing problems with imports on your site.

Thanks, and let us know what you’re able to find out!

    Hi Stephanie,

I certainly empathize with your frustrations here, and I’m truly sorry to hear that you’ve been struggling with this problem for some time now! Unfortunately, our resources are simply too limited to provide premium-level support to all of our approved nonprofit users in addition to our premium user base and our free user community on WordPress.org. We’re happy to provide no-cost licenses to nonprofits with the understanding that applicants should be comfortable with using our existing reference materials, such as the Knowledgebase and forum searches, for any issues that may crop up during regular usage. We do hope you understand. 🙁

That said, if you believe that you have encountered a legitimate bug on your site, we’d be happy to take a closer look to confirm and see if we can replicate the problem on our end. Using our conflict testing guide as a reference, would you please disable all plugins except for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO, change your active theme back to a default WordPress theme, and send us a link to your site via email? We’ll take a look and follow up to continue the conversation there!

Thanks, and we’ll see you over in email!

    Hi Jerome,

Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry for the trouble here! If you’re making changes to template files for our plugins, please make sure that you are correctly duplicating them and placing the files in the proper folder as outlined in our Themer’s Guide. Template files that are stored in the correct location as detailed in our guide won’t be overwritten by plugin updates.

For your 503 errors, we’d be glad to do a bit more troubleshooting to see what might be happening there. To get things started here, would you be willing to take a moment to share your system information with us? This Knowledgebase article provides instructions on how to obtain this info and share it securely with us–let us know if you should have any issues as you’re working through the steps!

    Thank you!

    Hi Wayne,

Thanks for reaching out! When using Event Tickets Plus with WooCommerce, you can choose which order statuses will generate attendee records or email tickets so that tickets aren’t sent before an order has cleared completely. This Knowledgebase article shows the options that are available and how to set them–hopefully changing this setting might be the fix you’re looking for going forward! 🙂

I hope that helps! Thanks, and let us know if you should have any other questions!
