Sebastian
ParticipantHello,
I am just having some trouble with the attendees information.
I have some tickets which are sold through WooCommerce and have some required fields. However, even if the fields are all field in, the information seems to be lost in the process since it doesn’t appear in the details columns of the attendees list.
I have Event Ticket Plus 4.4.4, Event Ticket 4.4 and The Events Calendar 4.4.5.
Is there some conflict?
Thank you a lot in advance.
Regards

MemberHi Sebastian,
Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! We had an issue with attendee metadata that was recently addressed in version 4.4.5 of our plugins. If you can, would you please take a moment to update all of your plugins to version 4.4.5, then confirm whether or not the problem persists?
Thank you!

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for your answer. I have the last version of the core plugins (4.4.5) but the event ticket plus is on 4.4.4 since as I show in the screenshot it’s the last version available.
With this combination of versions of the three plugins the metadata is not saved.

MemberHi Sebastian,
Thanks for following up to confirm. As our next step in troubleshooting, would you please take a moment to run through a quick round of conflict testing on your site, testing to see if the problem persists along the way? You can find detailed instructions for completing conflict testing here on our Knowledgebase. Give it a look over, and let us know if you should have any questions as you’re getting started.
Thank you!

ParticipantHello Caroline,
I have been testing everything, changed themes, disabled and enabled plugins but it doesn’t matter.
However, I have found the origin of the conflict. I have cloned the website in another hosting and it was working all right. As a result, the problem is involved with Varnish Cache. When it is enabled it doesn’t work, when disabled it works…
How could I solve the problem? Because I really need this type of caching in order to have a smoothly running website.
Thank you.

MemberHi Sebastian,
Thanks for following up with some more information here–great detective work! I’ve just attempted to replicate this issue with a caching plugin on a test site, but unfortunately the problem is not yet reproducible.
In reviewing your system information as provided here, it looks like you have three caching plugins currently installed on your site (WE-Varnish-Cache as well as free and premium versions of WP Fastest Cache). Are you able to disable these plugins and install a single copy of another caching plugin, such as W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache, to test?
Thanks, and let us know what the result is after testing one of these!

ParticipantHello Caroline,
I have these plugins installed but I have tried to have none of them active and everything works right if Varnish is disabled, when I enable it on the server side it doesn’t matter which caching plugins are enabled because it won’t work.
As a result, it seems that I am forced to disable Varnish Cache on the server and activate one of those plugins to get it working correctly.
Will you try to solve it?

MemberHi Sebastian,
Thanks for following up! Just to clarify, then, have you already tested your event submission functionality with Varnish Cache and WP Fastest Cache disabled and another caching plugin such as W3 Total Cache or WP Super Cache enabled? If not, could you please try this next and let us know what the result is? We’d like to confirm whether this problem will occur with any caching plugin on your site or just the specific configuration you have in place.
Thanks, and let us know what you’re able to find out!

ParticipantHello Caroline,
I have already tried this. I have disabled Varnish and activated other caching plugins and everything works correcty. Maybe the problem is that Varnish cache is something more powerful in the server side.
Thank you a lot again.
