MemberHi Anthony,
Oh, that’s awesome–so glad to hear it was that easy! Let us know if you should have any other questions as you’re continuing to make the transition to Events Calendar PRO. We’re here and ready to assist with anything that might crop up along the way! 🙂 If you’re all set here, feel free to follow up to confirm, or you can simply wait, and this thread will be automatically closed after a period of inactivity.
Thanks again for stopping by, and we hope you’ll enjoy your time with WordPress and Events Calendar PRO! 😀
Caroline
MemberHi Bruce,
Yes, absolutely–if you don’t need the added features and functionality of Events Calendar PRO, you can just as easily use the free version of The Events Calendar with Community Events. Users submitting events will have access to whatever fields are available with your choice of calendar plugin, so feel free to select the one that fits your needs best. 🙂
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Stephanie,
Thanks for taking the time to follow up–glad to hear that you were able to get these issues resolved on your site!
Again, I do apologize for our inability to provide direct support in this situation. 🙁 We’re happy to provide no-cost licensing for Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus to approved nonprofits with the understanding that we aren’t able to furnish support services for problems unrelated to legitimate bugs. These terms are clearly stated on our nonprofit partnership program’s Knowledgebase article as well as on our nonprofit program application form. We do recommend that nonprofit users consider purchasing paid licensing if they believe they may require hands-on support services at any point in the future, and we’re happy to provide discount coupons to help ease the financial burden in these cases. Our support team simply does not have the resources to offer full hands-on support services to all of our free, premium, and nonprofit users–we apologize again for the disappointment here, and we do hope you understand.
As your issue is resolved and this current discussion is no longer relevant to pre-sales, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread out. If you should have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to open a new thread in the appropriate forum or reach out to us via email. We thank you for your support and wish you the best of luck with your project! 🙂

MemberHi Charles,
I’m sorry to hear that QR code check-ins aren’t working as expected for you! One point to remember is that the user checking in attendees must be logged in to the site’s WordPress backend on their web browser before beginning to check in attendees. (This is so that the site can properly identify you as an administrator who is authorized to check in attendees.) If your QR code app uses its own built-in web browser to open links, would you try logging in to your site’s backend in the in-app browser, then scanning a QR code to confirm that it functions properly? If the app uses your phone’s default browser, please try logging in on this browser, then testing by scanning a QR code in the same way.
Thanks, and let us know if this step is successful in resolving your issue! 🙂

MemberHi Marian,
Thanks for taking the time to follow up here! It looks like you may have used our reply-by-email functionality to submit this post to our support forums–unfortunately, this method of reply does not support the posting of images, so I’m unable to see the images you included with your post. Would you mind submitting your reply with image attachments to this thread on the support forums? I’m so sorry for the trouble!
Please also note that we do not provide technical support services via email, so I’m afraid that I’m unable to reply to the email address provided. Again, I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience. 🙁
Let me know if you should have any other questions about how to submit your images to us–as soon as we’re able to receive and view those, we’ll see where we can go from there! 🙂 Thanks much!

MemberHi Tracy,
Thanks for reaching out! If you’re experiencing the same or a similar issue on your own site, we’d love to get some more details so that we might figure out what we’re dealing with here! Would you mind taking a moment to follow the conflict testing steps outlined in the above posts, then submitting a new post on our WordPress.org support forums with your findings? Any insights you can provide would be a huge help!
Thanks so much, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Wayne,
You’re very welcome! 🙂 Let us know how it goes–if you should continue to have problems after running through the steps provided, we’ll be more than glad to reevaluate and see what else we can try. Best of luck!

MemberHi Kim,
Thanks for following up to provide some more information here! The good news is that since these are soft 404s (actually 200 OK), it’s unlikely that these errors will actually impact your search rankings–a 200 OK code is returned by default anytime a search or archive view is accessed that contains no events. You can read more about this behavior as it relates to SEO on our Knowledgebase here.
That said, we can certainly do our best to try and prevent these URLs from being crawled in the first place! We’ve provided a Knowledgebase article with some recommended steps here–would you mind taking a moment to work through the steps to flush your permalinks, then follow up with us once Google has crawled the latest version of your site to confirm whether the number of soft 404s has decreased?
Thanks, and let us know what you’re able to find out!

MemberHi Bruce,
Thanks for reaching out! Upgrading to Events Calendar PRO allows users to expand the basic calendar functionality provided by The Events Calendar to include more robust display, filtering, and event creation options, such as additional calendar views, location-based searching, and support for recurring events. You can read more about the range of features offered with PRO on the product page linked above!
What it doesn’t include is support for user-submitted events–for this, you’ll want to pair The Events Calendar with our Community Events add-on. 🙂 You can read more about it at the link provided, or I’d be glad to answer any specific questions you might have about the product!
I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if there’s anything else I can do to assist!

MemberHi Giorgio,
Thanks for taking the time to stop by–and welcome to The Events Calendar! 🙂 You can most certainly import multiple events from multiple Facebook pages each day using Event Aggregator. Our entry-level pricing tier for Event Aggregator includes support for up to 100 imports per day, regardless of the number of events per import job. For most users, this should be more than enough to bring in all of your events! If you should need more, the Event Aggregator product page linked above goes into more detail on what other license options are available for your biggest import jobs.
I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Laurie,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins! I’m afraid that we do not offer support for paid event submissions with our plugins at this time. I’m sorry to disappoint! 🙁 We do receive a number of requests for this feature and have drafted plans to incorporate it into a future release–if you’d like to vote your interest, submit a comment, or just track the progress of this feature, you can do so right here on UserVoice.
Again, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news here! Thanks again for your interest, and we wish you the best of luck with your project!

MemberHi Emma,
Thanks for reaching out–happy to hear that you’re enjoying Events Calendar PRO so far! 🙂 Unfortunately, our nonprofit partnership program only provides free licensing for either Events Calendar PRO or Event Tickets Plus to accepted organizations. You’ll find a coupon code in your original acceptance email that can be applied towards the purchase of any additional needed plugins, such as Event Aggregator. Let us know if you’re unable to find this email in your records, and we’ll be glad to resend it.
Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Fribb,
Thanks for reaching out! We’ve begun work on implementing this functionality into a future product release, but we’re not able to provide a timeline or other details at this time. You can always keep up with the latest updates on our progress on the UserVoice page for this feature. As soon as this feature is officially slated for an upcoming release, we’ll be sure to share more details via our blog and social media.
Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

MemberHi Raul,
Thanks so much for your interest in our plugins–happy to take a moment to answer your questions here! Since there’s a lot of ground to cover here, I’ll do my best to be brief, but please don’t hesitate to follow up if I can clarify anything further.
- Events can be assigned categories and/or tags according to your preferences, and you can link to these categories or tags to view all matching events. Here’s an example of a tag view from our WP Shindig demo site.
- You can link to event pages from any section of your site, so this should work just fine!
- As outlined on the Events Calendar PRO product page, PRO does offer location search functionality, and you can see some examples in the screenshots provided. If you need more detailed location-based filtering or other search functionality, you can add on Filter Bar and configure the filters that are displayed exactly to your preferences.
- Filter Bar can be used in conjunction with any layout types that are supported by our calendar plugins! You can see all of the calendar views offered with Events Calendar PRO on the product page linked above.
- If you need to split payments between event organizers and site administrators, this can be achieved using a combination of Community Events and Community Tickets! You can read more about using split payments with these plugins on our Knowledgebase here.
- See above!
- You can choose whether or not to allow event organizers to create new venues when submitting events. Our Knowledgebase article on Community Events settings goes into more detail on this and other options.
- Yes, both organizers and venues will have their own pages automatically generated by the plugin.
- See above!
- Logged-in users who submit events using Community Events can log in to view their own events if this option is enabled by the site administrator. However, users who submit events anonymously will not have this option.
- Users who RSVP or purchase tickets for an event will receive confirmation via email, but they will not be assigned their own account to log in and make changes later. RSVPs can be changed or cancelled on the original event page, but tickets will need to be refunded through the e-commerce platform that’s paired with Event Tickets Plus. Our Knowledgebase article here goes into some more detail on the subject.
- Our plugins are developed with WordPress standards in mind and will always have the best compatibility with the WordPress stock themes, such as Twenty Seventeen. If you’re looking for third-party themes to integrate with our plugins, I’d suggest searching one of the many premium WordPress theme sites for “the events calendar” to find compatible themes.
- As long as the Meetup events you’d like to import are viewable to the public, you can import them using Event Aggregator even if you’re not an organizer.
- Meetup events that are imported by Event Aggregator will look just like other events on your site!
- See above!
- Meetup events will be fully imported and will have their own event pages on your site. A link to the original event on Meetup will be provided in the Event Details section.
- Users will still need to click through to your event on the Meetup site to register–you can provide instructions in the event description if needed.
You can find more information on our products in our Knowledgebase resources and on our WP Shindig site, where we provide live demonstrations for all of our products. 🙂
I hope that helps! Thanks, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

MemberHi Sean,
Thanks for reaching out! This sort of template modification constitutes a rather complicated customization, which is a bit beyond the scope of what we’re typically able to support. That said, we’d be glad to do our best to point you in the right direction here! We are currently on limited availability this week due to our yearly team retreat, but we can certainly do a bit more research and follow up with you next week once we’re back at full capacity. Thanks so much for your patience while we look into this for you! 🙂
Cheers, and we’ll be in touch shortly!
