We have set up the Events Calendar Pro and the Events Tickets Plus on our site. When we perform tests, we see the QR code on the email that gets sent to the customer. So now, how do we check people in at the door using the QR code? Your support seems to just stop there. :\

    Hi Charles,

Thanks for getting in touch–happy to assist you here! To check in event attendees with a QR code, all you’ll need is an internet-connected device (such as a smartphone or tablet) with a QR code scanning app installed. Scanning the code with your application will redirect to a unique web URL that will automatically check in that attendee. Free QR code scanning apps are available for all major smart device operating systems, including iOS and Android, and can be found by searching “qr code” in your device’s app store.

I hope that helps to clarify the whole process a bit! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions! 🙂

It does not work that way. It only sends me to the front end of the site where the event is displayed to the public.

    Hi Charles,

I’m sorry to hear that QR code check-ins aren’t working as expected for you! One point to remember is that the user checking in attendees must be logged in to the site’s WordPress backend on their web browser before beginning to check in attendees. (This is so that the site can properly identify you as an administrator who is authorized to check in attendees.) If your QR code app uses its own built-in web browser to open links, would you try logging in to your site’s backend in the in-app browser, then scanning a QR code to confirm that it functions properly? If the app uses your phone’s default browser, please try logging in on this browser, then testing by scanning a QR code in the same way.

Thanks, and let us know if this step is successful in resolving your issue! 🙂

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics.
