    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for taking the time to reach out! If you’re willing to perform manual updates to ensure that events are synced between two sites, you can use WordPress’s built-in import/export tools to export events from one site and move them to another. You can read more about this process on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-wordpress-export-tools-to-migrate-events-content/

    However, you’ll likely have the best experience using Event Aggregator to automatically import events from one site to another. This Knowledgebase article details the process for creating a “hub” site that groups events from multiple sites running The Events Calendar, but the same process could also be used for copying events from one site to another. I’d suggest reviewing both processes to see which one is right for you and your client!

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-hub-site-event-aggregator/

    I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out, and I’m so sorry for the trouble here! This type ofย issue with non-English CSV imports has been known to occur due to encoding errors introduced by one or more of your applications. In particular, Numbers and Excel on Mac platforms do not keep CSV encoding intact when files are opened with these applications, which causes our importer to pull values with the wrong character set. We recommend following these steps to ensure that your CSV files will be imported correctly:

    1. Upload your CSV files to Google Drive to allow them to be parsed by Google Sheets and “reset” their encoding.
    2. Make any necessary changes to your files before saving.
    3. From the File menu, select Download as > Comma-separated values (.csv, current sheet).
    4. DO NOT OPEN THE DOWNLOADED CSV FILES. Import the CSV files that you have saved from Google Drive directly into The Events Calendar using Event Aggregator. This should ensure that the correct encoding is preserved, and your scripts should be properly viewable when your events are brought in.

    Let me know if following these steps helps to resolve your issue here! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks again!

    Hi Bob,

    Thanks for taking the time to reach out! If you’re using the Default Page Template (as defined in your plugin settings under the Display tab) for your calendar pages, you can drop the List View widget into your selected theme’s sidebar pane to have it display beside all of your calendar views (and all other pages on your site). If you’d prefer to use shortcodes instead, the [tribe_events] shortcode included with Events Calendar PRO will allow you to display a full-size calendar, which you can pair with any widget shortcode of your choice. You can read more about this shortcode and its various options on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

    I hope that helps to get you started here! If you should have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us on our WordPress.org support forums (if you’re using one or more of our free plugins) or on our premium forums (if you’ve purchased any of our premium plugins). Cheers, and thanks again!

    Hi Jakub,

    Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here! This add-on has been reported broken with recent versions of The Events Calendar, and we hope to have a fix out to resolve this issue shortly. In the meantime, I’d suggest reaching out to our support team on our WordPress.org forums for more guidance on translations or other possible solutions! We’re not equipped to deal with these types of issues here in pre-sales, but our technical team members will be more than glad to help over on WordPress.org. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Luca,

    Thanks for sending over your functions.php file for me to review! On first glance, nothing looks terribly suspect in this document. If you’re adding the full contents of our snippet to your functions file, ensure that you’re not including the first line with <?php when pasting your text in. This may help to resolve issues with PHP errors or the like when processing this file! If this doesn’t help to correct the problem, then I’d suggest opening a new thread on our WordPress.org support forum so that our technical team can take a closer look.

    I hope that helps! Thanks again, and let us know if you should have any other questions! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Ash,

    Thanks so much for your interest in Event Tickets Plus! I’d be more than glad to try and answer your questions here! ๐Ÿ™‚

    We would like to ask (but not require) people who purchase tickets to set up a WP account on our site, and record information from their ticket purchase against that user account (see below).

    This can certainly be achieved with our plugins! Logged-in users who RSVP or purchase tickets will have their personal information stored for future orders, and users will have the option of editing some of their ticket information, as well. You can read more about editing options available to logged-in users on our Knowledgebase here:ย https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/#editing-attendee-info

    We gather a lot of information from the people who sign up for tickets. We need the ability to create custom fields to gather this information and store it against the ticket holderโ€™s id in a database.

    Our attendee information fields sound like they might be just the solution you’re seeking here. This Knowledgebase article goes into a bit more detail regarding these fields and how to use them on your tickets.ย https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/

    My organization sells digital tickets and allows participants to DIGITALLY TRANSFER those tickets. So the ticket owner arranges to get cash from the person they are selling the ticket to privately, and then goes into the website, and adds in the new ticket ownerโ€™s email address. The system then sends the new ticket owner and email and they complete a ticket purchase with all steps EXCEPT the financial transaction.

    This type of functionality may not be possible in exactly the manner described here, though you may be able to achieve something similar using the logged-in user requirement described above along with the option to edit user details after purchase. Some types of edits can only be performed by an administrator; opening up these options would likely require some fairly involved customizations. An easier (but less automated) way may simply be to have users request a transfer, then make any edits manually to the original order.

    Weโ€™d like the ability to gather a waiting for people who want tickets if they tickets sell out before they are able to buy one.

    Unfortunately, our plugins do not offer waitlist functionality for ticketed events at this time. A possible workaround might be to create a “waitlist” ticket type as an RSVP (free) ticket. This will allow you to collect the email addresses of interested users who RSVP, and you can use this list to reach out to users individually should additional tickets become available. ๐Ÿ™‚

    I hope that helps to get you started here! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Ricardo,

    I’m sorry to hear that you’re still having some trouble here. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to replicate the issue that you’re describing with your iCal link–when attempting to sync from this feed on a test application, all ten events on your site are appearing on the calendar. Since we’re unable to provide in-depth technical support here in pre-sales, I’d like to get you over to someone who can help with further troubleshooting! Would you mind taking a moment to submit a new post with the details of your problem on our WordPress.org support forum for The Events Calendar?

    http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/the-events-calendar

    If you can, it may help to complete a round ofย conflict testing prior to opening a support request. Reporting the results of your conflict testing in your thread will save us a step and help us to get your issue resolved that much quicker! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns here! Thanks again, and we’ll see you in the forums!

    Hi Luca,

    Good question! You can add this snippet to the functions.php file located in your current theme’s folder! If this file doesn’t already exist, it’s safe to create your own. You can learn more about functions files on WordPress’s documentation:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Functions_File_Explained

    Regarding your second question, I wasn’t able to find the text “Gratuito” anywhere on the linked page. Were you able to resolve this issue on your own? If not, are you able to provide another link to an affected page? A screenshot may also be helpful, if you’re able to include one! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Thank you!

    Hi Jack,

    Thanks for taking the time to reach out! Our products are intended to be used by individuals, businesses, or organizations who are interested in displaying events or selling event tickets on WordPress-based sites. We do not maintain a shared database of events from users of our plugins and do not have the ability to perform global event searches across all user calendars. As such, I’m afraid that our plugins and services may not be the most appropriate fit for your company’s needs.

    I hope that helps to clarify things a bit–I’m sorry to disappoint! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions!

    Hi Ana,

    Thanks for reaching out! I’m afraid that this site, TheEventsCalendar.com, is not affiliated with any companies or organizations that may use our software products, and we’re unable to assist with inquiries of this nature. I’d suggest reaching out to the event organizers with your request via the contact form provided on their website:

    I hope that helps! Cheers, and best of luck! ๐Ÿ™‚

    Hi Ricardo,

    Thanks for following up! I consulted another team member to get some more information on how our calendar feeds work, and it appears that our feeds default to a limit of 30 events at a time. As events pass, new events will be synced over to keep your calendar at 30 events. However, if you’d prefer to sync more events than this in a given batch, you can change this variable with a snippet. Adding this code to your theme’s functions.php will change the export limit to 200 events; you can change the number supplied to whatever you’d like to sync more or fewer events.

    add_filter( 'tribe_ical_feed_posts_per_page', 'example_increase_ical_feed_posts_per_page' );

    function example_increase_ical_feed_posts_per_page( $count ) {
    return 200;
    }

    Let me know if this helps to resolve your lingering issues here! ๐Ÿ™‚ Cheers, and thanks again!

    Hi Luca,

    Thanks for following up–so sorry for the confusion here! It seems I’m mistaken–email notification for RSVPs is not included with Event Tickets, although paid ticket orders with Event Tickets Plus will generate an order notification email. This snippet may be useful if you’re interested in adding email notifications to the free version of Event Tickets:

    Hi Ricardo,

    Thanks for following up. If the Export Events button is used to download an ICS file for importing events, this static file will only contain the events that were fetched on that specific pass. However, if the URL for the Export Events button is added as a feed to your calendar application of choice, it will continually import newly-added events over time. I’ve gone ahead and flagged our documentation here to be updated so that we can provide some extra clarification. Thanks for bringing that issue to our attention!

    Does that help to address your concerns here, or are there any other questions that I can answer for you? Let me know! ๐Ÿ™‚
