Hi there! Thanks for getting in touch and for trying out Events Calendar PRO–happy to have you here with us! 🙂

Unfortunately, our map support is limited to displaying map locations for venues that are assigned to a current event, and there’s no option to display map markers for all existing venues. This may be possible by way of site-specific customizations, but it would be beyond that scope of what we’d be able to assist with here on the support team, I’m afraid.

That said, we do have a number of map-related feature requests over on our UserVoice forum–if this is something you’d love to see in a future release, I encourage you to drop by and cast your vote for an existing suggestion (or suggest your own)!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news here, but please do let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist!

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to take a look at our plugins–happy to help with your questions here!

At this time, we don’t offer a built-in setting for specifying that a calendar should display to certain users only. However, this Knowledgebase article offers some suggestions and code snippets that may help you to achieve this functionality! The examples given are for all logged-in users but could easily be modified to only apply to certain types of users, for instance.

You’re correct that Events Calendar PRO does offer simple filtering functionality for regional events. We also offer a number of additional location-based filters and other filtering options through our Filter Bar add-on, which supports both the free version of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO.

SMS notifications are not a supported feature at this time, although you may be able to achieve this functionality for a particular project with a third-party plugin or customizations. (Unfortunately, we wouldn’t be able to provide detailed support in either scenario.) If you’d like to suggest this feature be considered for inclusion in a future release, we’d love to hear from you over on our Feature Ideas forum!

I hope that helps to answer your questions! Let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist, and thanks again!

Good question! Our Knowledgebase articles provide plenty of useful information for new users to help them get up and running with our products, including new user primers, configuration guides, and tips, tricks, and suggestions for some of our more advanced features. I’d encourage you to explore these resources first and see if they might be sufficient to meet your needs! If you feel your organization’s support requirements may require more hands-on assistance with setup or troubleshooting, you would need to purchase one or more of our paid product licenses to access our premium support forums.

Thanks, and let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you! 🙂

    Hi again!

That’s awesome–glad to hear you’re giving Filter Bar a try! 🙂 Our Knowlegebase article on configuring Filter Bar has more information on filter settings and what options are displayed to users on the front end. For location-based filters such as City, State/Province, and Country, the filters that appear are determined by venues you have designated for past, present, or future events. If you need to add an additional city, simply assign a venue in that city to a published event, and the city will be added to your list of options.

I hope that helps! Let me know if you should have any other questions!

    Hi there!

Thanks for getting in touch! As a matter of fact, we do have several great widget options available for Events Calendar PRO–you can see our full list of offerings for both versions of The Events Calendar on our Knowledgebase here! We also provide shortcodes for implementing our PRO widgets into your posts and pages, if this is something you might be interested in.

If you should continue to have issues, please feel free to follow up with me via email, and I’ll be happy to investigate the problem further.

    Thank you!

    Hi there!

Thanks for stopping by! Good question–the free version of The Events Calendar includes an Events List widget that can be placed into any widgetized area of your theme and set to display anywhere from 1-10 events. These events are selected automatically based on the nearest upcoming events. If you require more fine-grained control over which events display in your widget and how they should appear, you’ll need to purchase a license for PRO to obtain additional widgets and features.

I hope that helps! Please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions! 🙂

Hi there! Thanks for getting in touch!

Hm, that’s an interesting question you’ve got there! If you’re looking to create an event that won’t display in the same manner as other events with set dates, your best bet may be to create events set on arbitrary dates well in the past, then place those events in a sidebar widget or other widgetized area so they’re still accessible to your users. You could then specify the full details of the event in the description field for clarity. (If you’d like to hide the arbitrary dates from view, our Themer’s Guide would be a great starting point for modifying your templates as needed!)

Would something like this work for your needs?

Regarding your other questions, yes, Filter Bar will definitely handle all of your listed use cases–and more! 🙂 And no worries about deploying your licenses on a test site, as you can simply log into your account to deactivate them from your tester once you’re ready to go live. You can read more about how to move license keys between sites on our Knowledgebase here.

I hope that helps to answer your questions! Please don’t hesitate to follow up if there’s anything else we can do to assist! 🙂

Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by–we’re thrilled that you’re considering our plugins! 🙂

    To answer your questions:

    1. How our plugins will hold up under heavy load is largely dependent on your site’s server and its available resources, especially where WordPress is concerned. If you haven’t experienced issues with this type of usage in the past, we expect that you won’t encounter any new problems. That said, if you do have concerns, you might also consider our Eventbrite Tickets plugin, which would offload much of the burden during sales periods to Eventbrite’s servers.
    2. Our Community Events and Community Tickets plugins (run alongside Event Tickets Plus) will allow other users to submit events to your site and sell tickets, with you or a designated community manager retaining a portion of sales if you choose. If you require this functionality, I recommend taking a look at our Community Manager Bundle, which includes all three of the above plugins plus Filter Bar at a discounted price!
    3. It absolutely is possible–our Themer’s Guide goes into plenty of detail regarding our plugin templates and how you can customize them to look and function exactly as you’d like!

I hope that helps to address some of your concerns! Let us know if you should have any other questions!
