MemberHello corne029,
For translating WooCommerce Tickets, you can use the existing wootickets-nl_NL.po file and just update it (Be sure you follow the instructions to update it before translating). Facebook Events has never been translated into Dutch, so you’ll want to make a new file using the tribe-fb-import.pot file. The Getting Started post has all the files and instructions.

MemberHi Oliver,
You’re right, that screenshot was of the backend. It looks like we found the culprit in the other thread (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/translation-not-working-in-community-events/) so I’m going to go ahead and mark this one Resolved. Thank you!

MemberHello websource,
Thanks for posting. The “Add to Cart” button and many of the error messages are actually controlled by the Easy Digital Downloads plugin. They may not have a German translation, or it may be incomplete. I recommend that you get in touch with their support team and ask about this, since their plugin is the one that would effect those language strings. They should be able to get you all set 😀

MemberHello Oliver,
Thanks for the translation updates. Are those for the 3.4 plugins? And were you sure to update them with the most recent .pot file from the Getting Started post in the Translation Forum? I just updated those files a few days ago, so if you were working on this earlier you might want to double check them. Can you please post these in the Translation Forum (in a new thread) once you’ve done that?
I’d like to have Casey take a look at the changes you proposed, but he is gone for the day. He’ll be in touch on Monday about those. Thanks for your patience!

MemberHello centralbarkoswego,
Thanks for posting. I definitely want to make sure you can get the plugin installed! I’ll need a little bit more information to get me started on troubleshooting. Can you tell me which of our plugins you are currently running, and what version(s)? When you try to install the plugin .zip file, are you getting any sort of error or message? And finally, can you elaborate on what you said about the two separate accounts? I wasn’t sure if you are referring to WordPress site accounts, tri.be site accounts, or something else. Once I have the above info I should be able to help you out. Thanks for your patience and support!

MemberHello dkiessling,
Thanks for clarifying. Are you positive that when you entered the license key on the Events –> Settings –> License Keys tab that you pressed Save Changes? If you double check that and it’s still not working, the next step would be to try a manual update of the two plugins.
First thing you’ll need to do is download The Events Calendar 3.4.1 from here and Events Calendar PRO 3.4 from your account’s downloads page (tri.be/my-account/downloads/). Next, deactivate and delete the plugins from your Plugins page. You should not lose data, but we recommend that you backup your database first just in case. Then install the new version of the plugin and activate it. It will work best if you deactivate and delete both the Events plugins and then install them both again, instead of one at a time.
That will at least get you running the latest versions. The next step will be to try to enter your license key again. Let me know if the behavior you reported persists even then. And of course, let me know if you have any trouble with the update.

MemberHello Oliver,
Thanks for doing that troubleshooting and letting us know the results. I was pretty stumped, but I talked to one of our developers and we’ve gotten to the root of the problem. Forgive me if I don’t explain this clearly, but the problem has to do with the fact that the strings are in both the .po file for TEC and for Community Events, and the Community Events one isn’t talking properly to the TEC file, so it’s not getting translated. We need to fix a line of code in Community so that they communicate properly.
We will probably have this correction done for our next maintenance release. In the meantime, you might want to use a string-specific translation plugin like Say What? to get the strings appearing in German. Thanks for your patience while we fix the issue!

MemberHello fervent,
I’m not sure I understand your question. It is true that some strings are not in the plugin file. They might be in a different plugin file or they might be part of the main WordPress translation. If you tell me what strings are still in English I might be able to help.

MemberHello Emerson,
I’m sorry, but it still looks like those files are not updated- there are a number of recent strings missing. I went ahead and updated the files you sent with the latest .pot files. They are now all ready for you to translate- when you open them in PoEdit you’ll see the yellow strings (which may need correction) as well as a number of untranslated strings. Once those are put into Brazilian Portuguese, we’ll be all set 🙂 You can download the updated .po files here.

MemberHello Sebastian,
Thanks for your response. Sometimes even if you are running the latest version of a plugin, the translation files included in that plugin are outdated. All our translations are done by community members, so if no one volunteers the translation file might be several versions behind the actual plugin’s version, which can cause these sorts of holes in the translations.
Am I understanding correctly that you got things working properly, at least for now? Or did you still need help with anything?

MemberHi joinfof,
I’m sorry you’ve been having trouble with our calendar. I suspect that the issue you’re seeing with the out-of-order events is caused by something in your theme. We might be able to help you get to the bottom of that, if you’re game.
However, it sounds like a refund might be the best solution for you. Please send an email to pro (at) tri.be including the receipts from your orders and we can process that for you. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Leah
