    Hey Richard,

Thanks for getting in touch. Our Community Events plugin allows the public to submit both paid and free events. At this point, the plugin doesn’t enable you to charge for event submission, but we’ve had a lot of demand for this and are hoping to add it as a plugin feature soon.

Currently you’re not able to do multiple destinations for a single event, as it’s limited to one venue and one organizer per event. You might be able to work around this by using categories as locations since an event can have multiple categories, but otherwise you’d need to build that in yourself.

The Event Calendar PRO allows each event and each venue to have a basic Google map embedded, but including route information as you propose would need to be handled using via a third-party solution.

Currently we’re not able to do any custom programming for you, but I can try to connect you with a freelancer if you’d like. You might also want to check out some of the possible customizations in our documentation at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/

We can’t guarantee that our future features or plugins won’t include concepts similar to those you’ve listed above. We try to add features in response to user demand. Many of these ideas have been floated by other users and are already in our roadmap for future releases.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you get your project started.

    Cheers,
    Leah

    Hey Maria,

The Community Events plugin does allow users to create events, but alas the plugin does not currently allow the plotting of multiple events on one map. You can choose to display a map with each event, but it would only show that event’s location.

We agree that plotting multiple events on one map would be a pretty cool feature, so we’re hoping to include that ability in a future release.

    Cheers,
    Leah

    Hey Chris,

Thanks for your interest. Exporting from Outlook is not supported at this time but may arrive in a future release. We do not have any current plans to implement importing.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions.

    Hi Sarah,

I’d like to better understand the problem you’re having. Did you set the Events URL slug to ‘events’ or the Single Event URL slug?

If you can’t find these fields under Events –> Settings, it’s likely because you don’t have a pretty permalink structure enabled and WordPress is using the default URL structure. To set up pretty permalinks, just navigate to Settings –> Permalinks and select something other than the Default choice. Then the slug fields should appear under Events –> Settings.

The full calendar link you mentioned uses the Events URL slug, so if you’ve set that to be ‘events’ your calendar is at events/category/full-calendar.

When I tried the link in your comment I got the 404 error too, but with the added s to match your slug I was able to access the calendar: http://www.kuc.org/events/category/full-calendar/

Is that what you were looking for? Let me know if that works and if there’s anything else I can help you with.

    Hi Scott!

I see what you mean. Handily, you can change the date format via the regular WordPress options under Settings –> General. Just scroll down to Date Format and pick the one that works for you. Whatever you chose there will carry over for the dates in your widgets. And that will work for both free and pro versions of Events Calendar.

Let me know if you need anything else.

    Cheers,
    Leah

    Hey Matt,

Thanks for supporting us! We do not currently offer regular credit card processing, but we’ll be switching away from PayPal soon so you should be able to purchase our products no problem.

If you want to use the plugins before that, we can give you access to the current releases provided you buy when you are able. We don’t normally do this, but we’d like to help you out. If you’d like to do that, please send an email to pro [at] tri.be and we’ll get you set up.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help out.

    ~Leah
