MemberHello Grant, for what it’s worth, you might want to check out this article by Joost de Valk about the importance of updating WordPress before plugins: http://yoast.com/upgrade-wordpress/
He does go on a bit of a rant there regarding his own plugin, but he is a WordPress expert and the point he makes overall still stands true.
In case Alan can’t get a working solution to you, I would say you should definitely spend the time to upgrade. Not upgrading is like not putting oil in your car – eventually it will die. Many plugins are built to the latest WordPress standards (or at least they should be), so there can really be some conflict there down the road that will become bigger than just this one issue.

MemberHello Ben,
Thanks for being in touch about this. I have contacted the right people to hopefully get this solved for you, though it is outside of my own scope. I just wanted you to know someone has read this and is taking action on it 🙂Joyce Grace
MemberHello Chimo, for a lot of these issues you will need to know how to use CSS. These may actually be quite simple fixes. You may want to search W3 Schools for some advice on this. You’ll want to look up positioning, padding, margins and display properties.
Other than that, we can’t really support theme customization – we can only support our calendar as we promise it to work, at its latest version, running on the latest version of WordPress and the Twenty Eleven theme.
The features you suggested are good ones, and the next big release of the Events Calendar may have some of those. However, until then, we can only offer what we have 🙁 Sorry!
Joyce Grace
MemberHello Mike, I will need detailed descriptions of all the steps you took to try to do this. Also, do you have our Events Calendar installed – the free one from the WordPress depository? And do you have Events Calendar Pro? Is everything at its latest version?
Joyce Grace
MemberHi Lauren,
Can you confirm you are using the latest version of WordPress and have your permalinks set up to “postname”? Even if they are already, can you try re-saving the permalinks? Can you also link to your site for us?
Joyce Grace
MemberThat is great to hear, thanks for letting us know!

MemberHi Jason, just keep in mind that what I told you about the Facebook groups and the Events app still stands true. Facebook groups themselves do not have their own events. Members can submit them to the group, using their personal profiles, and Pages can host events and invite a group as well.

MemberHi Alyssa,
You’ll need Events Calendar Pro and Community Events, and yes, if it is only for one site you only need a personal license.
If you want to export your users you will need to make sure not to allow “anonymous” submissions so that everyone has to be logged in to actually submit an event. That way they will become WordPress users in your site wide set up. Then you will need a plugin to export your users.
You might want to look at the WP Members plugin. I use it myself, and I think it might come in handy for you.
Hope this helps!

MemberGlad to hear it!

MemberHi Phil, did you change your language settings in your WP Config file? Did you check to make sure we have the language you are looking for?
Joyce Grace
MemberSorry! the latest version of our plugin is now 2.0.8!

MemberHello Benjamin,
This is strange. To get us started, can you please confirm you have tried all of the following:1. Are you running the latest version of WordPress?
2. Are you running the latest versions of our plugins (2.0.7)?
3. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to rule out a conflict?
4. Have you tried reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme to see if it’s something with your theme?
5. Try setting your permalinks to ‘postname’ in Settings > Permalinks?
6. Try refreshing your permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks (it does it automatically)? Also, have you checked your settings, in both the Events Calendar and your timezone settings – both under WordPress’s Settings menu?
Joyce Grace
MemberHi Craig,
Does the plugin not work, or is your site down? Or are you saying you are currently sitting at 2.0.7 and just couldn’t manage to do an automatic plugin update through the WordPress dashboard?
I tried this and got the same error, so I am definitely seeing what you see. I can submit this is as a bug but I want to make sure your site is functioning properly.
Did you click on the “Want to pair an older version” link?
Can you please always link to your site when submitting support requests like these?
Joyce Grace
MemberHi Christopher can you please link to your site when posting requests like this? We need to take a look to see what is going on.
Also, have you made any modifications at all to the plugin? We will need to know step by step what you did if this is the case.
Can you also confirm you have done all of the following, to rule out the most common causes of these problems?
7. Try increasing the PHP memory for your website: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/?Thanks!

MemberHi Jen, I will see if someone else can help, since I’m not familiar with this topic.
