KeymasterHi Ron,
Thank you for reaching out to us!
In order to set up a multilingual website with The Events Calendar, you would need to activate a multilingual plugin, such as the well-established WPML plugin.
Here, you will find a guide to set up The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO with WPML.
I would also recommend reading these three Knowledgebase articles that cover how to translate our plugins specifically:
- Translating The Events Calendar:Β http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/translating-the-events-calendar/
- Translating our premium add-ons: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-or-updating-a-translation/
- Changing the language on your site: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-language-on-your-calendar/
Please note that, while we strive to be compatible with WPML and invest considerably in this effort, we can not guarantee 100% compatibility (as is true of third party plugins generally). Some of our add-ons are not currently supported or compatible with WPML.
If you have any further questions, please donβt hesitate to contact me.
Cheers,
JeremyJeremy
KeymasterHi Craig,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
If you have a subscription for any of our add-ons, then you should register with your account as only license holders can get premium support.
Otherwise, you can head over to the WordPress.org forum and post your question there.
I hope this helps,

KeymasterHi Jeffrey,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be glad to help you π
I tried to import events from that website but also got the same error message. It’s due to the fact that EA Service needs to know how many events exists matching a criteria: if the source site does not provide that information we cannot pull events from it. This could be due to a communication error between EA service and the source site or due to a custom modification of The Events Calendar REST API that provides a response in a format we can read.
Does the hunterscreekcountryclub website belong to you as well? Did you do some custom modifications to the calendar?
Thanks in advance for your reply,
Cheers,

KeymasterHi,
Thank you for your feedback! Letting the end-user choose would be a nice addition; you can suggest that idea in our User Voice π
Indeed, if you have another question which is not related to this one, it’s better to create a new topic. I will close this thread then and might talk to you later on another topic π

KeymasterHi Derek,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you π
It would be possible to add an end date filter to an event listing page, but that would require some customization which is beyond the scope of this support.
To get started, I would recommend you to read the following article as it explains how to create custom fields for filter bar (including examples):
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-custom-filters-for-filter-bar/
You may also suggest this feature in our User Voice page to let us know. The more votes a feature request gets, the higher chances it has to become a new feature.

JeremyJeremy
KeymasterNo worries, we’re here to help you π
In the meantime, feel free to ask if you have any other concerns.

KeymasterHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I would be happy to help you π
Yes, it’s possible to do that, however, that would require some coding.
First, I would recommand you to read our Themer’s Guide, to learn how to customize template files. The file you would like to modify is the one located at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views/list/single-event.php.
You can then override this template in your own theme by creating a file at wp-content/themes/[your-theme]/tribe-events/list/single-event.php.
Alternatively, you can find someone to do those tweaks for you – we can provide a list of freelancers.
I hope this helps,
Cheers,

KeymasterHi,
Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you π
You could customize the Community Events submission page to add some instructions for example, but that would require some coding. First, I would recommend you to read this article in our Knowledge base about how to customize template files.
In your case, the file you might want to edit is the one located at wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/edit-event.php.
You can then override this template in your own theme by creating a file at wp-content/themes/[your-theme]/tribe-events/community/edit-event.php.
For now, there’s no shortcode to create a submission form, however, feel free to add a vote in our UserVoice! Someone already suggested that feature. The more votes a feature idea gets, the more chances it has to become a new feature π
I hope this helps,

KeymasterHi Frank,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
The bug you mentioned is a bug we are aware of. Our developers are working on it, and a fix should be part of the next maintenance release. I can’t give you an exact date though. So I’ll mark this thread as “Pending fix”, that way we could warn you as soon as the problem is solved.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
Jeremy

KeymasterHi Kat,
I’m not sure why you get those error messages… If you could share your System Information, I would have a better understanding of the situation (you can paste it in your reply and mark your reply as “Private”).
Do you have a staging environment? If so, you can run some tests to find where the conflict comes from. In short, you will try to deactivate all other plugins, and test your website with the default theme (Twenty Seventeen).
Regarding your performance problems: do you have lots of recurring events on your website? The more events you show, the bigger the impact on the website’s performance. I would recommend you to read that article about performance considerations. Also, I would suggest you to read that article in our Knowledgebase about caching.
Please let me know how it goes,
Cheers,
JeremyJeremy
