    Hi Carson,

As you noticed, there’s something wrong with the following file: http://swingleft.org/district/CA-24/calendar/events.ics

It seems the problem comes from its format; I’m not sure what the problem is exactly, so I’m going to check with our developers specialized in Event Aggregator. I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information 🙂

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Brian,

I’m sorry you still get the same result.

Did you try your website with the default theme (Twenty Seventeen)? I noticed that your theme (LMS) offers an integration with our plugin. In order to do that, they may have customized some of our template files, and it’s possible there’s some deprecated code somewhere.

If your website doesn’t go down when Twenty Seventeen is enabled, then I would recommend you to reach out to LMS’ support.

Otherwise, please send me a copy of your website including the database, so that I could do some tests locally.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Matthew,

I can’t see your screenshots, probably because you replied via email instead of the forum. That said, it seems to me the way you’re filtering your events is the right way. Then, if you click on the “Start date” column, you should have events starting on October 1st at the top.

For more information about filtering and sorting events with Advanced Post Manager, please refer to this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/filter-and-sort-events-with-advanced-post-manager/

    I hope this helps.

    Hi Brian,

You said your site fails when you turn on WooCommerce, but do you still have WooCommerce version 3.2.5? This version is a bit outdated and may not be fully compatible with the newest versions of our plugins. If you want to update The Events Calendar plugins, make sure your WooCommerce plugins are up-to-date as well.

Regarding the “out-of-installs” issue, it shouldn’t prevent you to test the newest versions of our plugins on your test site. Even without the license, Events Calendar PRO and Event Tickets Plus work properly (it’s just you don’t get automatic updates). So you should be able to upload the new versions of both plugins via FTP, following the instructions here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/manual-updates/

Please let me know how it goes.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Gisela,

I’m glad your maps are showing again 🙂

I’m going to close this thread then, but feel free to start a new one if you have further concerns.

    Hi,

Maybe it’s a cache issue: could you clear all your cache, including your browser cache and you server cache?

If you still have a problem, I would need your System Information in order to help you further. If you could paste it as a reply to this mail, that would be nice, thanks 🙂

    Hi,

First of all, I’m glad it seems to have settled for now 🙂

Regarding the updates, they may not only introduce new features, but fix previous issues as well. That said, I understand you are careful and prefer to wait a little bit. A good practice here would be to set up a staging environment, with a duplicate version of your website. That way, you could test things there first before deciding or not to apply the update on your live site 🙂

    I hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

I visited your website but couldn’t see any problem on your Event page: the ticket iframe did show up.

Did you update Eventbrite Tickets to version 4.5.4 (which was released yesterday)? Could you confirm this issue is solved?

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

    Hi Gisela,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

I visited your website, and noticed the following error in the console: Google Maps JavaScript API warning: NoApiKeys https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/error-messages#no-api-keys

Please make sure you’ve set up your Google Maps API properly, according to the instructions on this page: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/

in reply to: Shortcode or PHP for showing events by state? #1637247

    Hi Matia,

Thanks for your interest in our plugin!

Unfortunately, there’s no solution out of the box to display events according to the venue’s state with a shortcode. You may create a category view for each location or a venue for each location and use a venue shortcode, but obviously that wouldn’t be ideal in terms of scalability.

You may also utilize our Filter Bar plugin to filter through locations on your main events page.

The other way would be to customize our plugin. You’ll find plenty of resources in our Knowledgebase: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/

Please let me know if you have any other questions 🙂

    Hi Yvonnie,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you 🙂

According to the screenshots you’ve shared, you proceeded the right way to set up your recurring events series. That said, I created a recurring series on my local installation with a “once” exclusion but couldn’t replicate your issue.

So it’s likely there’s a conflict somewhere. Could you try to deactivate all other plugins, to see if that makes a difference? Could you also switch to the default theme (Twenty Seventeen)? Please read carefully our documentation about Testing for conflicts before doing anything.

Also, could you share your System Information? (you may set your reply as “Private”).

    Cheers,
    Jeremy
