    Hi Penny,

It looks like the first part of the link got cut off when I pasted it into the post. Sorry about that! The full link is:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/content/uploads/2017/08/attendee-data-editor.1.1.zip

Let me know if that one works!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Thanks Brittany!

From what I could see on the front end, it did not look like there were any tickets added on that event…however, from the screenshot you sent before where the ticket section is showing up but no tickets are in it, it looks like it is either due to a theme conflict or perhaps a JavaScript issue.

Can you confirm if you were able to get it working by switching to a default theme (while all of your other plugins are deactivated)? I know this can be a pain to do, but theme conflicts are a very common source of these types of issues. If we can narrow down where the problem is coming from, I’ll be happy to help you work on a resolution from there!

It would also be worthwhile to check for JavaScript errors. You can do this by going to a page where the issue is occurring, right click on the page, click Inspect, and then Console. If you see any errors there, could you please copy and paste them into your reply or send me a screenshot?

Thanks for your patience as we work to find a solution for this issue!

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for checking out our plugins!

I’ll take your requirements one at a time…

    – single or recurring events

Events Calendar Pro will let you create single or recurring events.

    – registration for event without need to create website account

With Event Tickets (free RSVPs) or Event Tickets Plus (paid tickets), you have the option to require users to be logged in to reserve/purchase tickets, but you can also allow users to get tickets without an account.

    – option to register to website and have event management system autofill info from website registration

This would involve a customization, but it could be accomplished via a template override. This post should help get you started if you’d like to make this customization.

    – seating capacity on a per event basis (with countdown showing remaining seats); for recurring events, the capacity may need to change with the instance (this feature is not essential but I want to know if it is offered)

Since you can add multiple tickets (RSVP, paid, or a combination of both) to an event, you can create a ticket for each section and set a cap of available tickets for each section. By default, the number of remaining tickets will display on the front end underneath each ticket. We have some more information on setting that up here.

Recurring events are a feature of Events Calendar Pro. They do technically do support tickets, but at the moment the functionality there is a bit limited. A ticket added to a recurring event will be the exact same ticket on every event in the series. For example, if a user tried to buy tickets to two separate events in a series, they would get one ticket in their cart with a quantity of two – not two separate tickets with separate dates. We are currently working on expanding out this functionality, but unfortunately I do not have a timeframe as to when this will be implemented.

    – no charge for events (client is a non-profit)

Absolutely! You can create free RSVP-style tickets with Event Tickets, our free ticketing plugin, or you can also create free tickets with Event Tickets Plus just by setting the price to 0.

    – other standard features I know are offered by the Events Calendar

In addition to recurring events, some other features that come with Events Calendar Pro include shortcodes, additional views calendar views (map, photo, and week), additional fields to customize your event data, and more.

Plus, purchasing a license for any of our premium plugins gets you access to premium support in our forums.

Feel free to give the plugins a test run and see if they’ll work for you! We offer full refunds within 30 days of purchase if you’re not satisfied with the products.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for reaching out!

While Events Calendar Pro has great features like shortcodes, additional calendar views, and recurring events, it is actually Event Tickets Plus (or Event Tickets for free events) that allows you to set up tickets that your users can purchase directly on the site.

With Event Tickets Plus, users will see the tickets directly on the event page and can add them to their cart (you will need to use either WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads, both of which are free plugins) and checkout.

Did you maybe mean to purchase Event Tickets Plus in addition to or instead of Events Calendar Pro? Let me know if this is the case…you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days of purchase, so we can get you switched over to Event Tickets Plus if needed!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry you’re having a hard time getting set up with Pro…the good news is, it will work on .org or a .com site!

The spot for the license key actually won’t appear until you have installed and activated the plugin, which you can do by following the instructions here.

You should have a main events page now, with just The Events Calendar installed. It won’t appear in your list of Pages (I know that can be confusing!) but you can get to it by going to yoursite.com/events. Which methods have you tried from the article you mentioned? The shortcodes won’t be available until Pro is activated, but you should be able to go into Settings > Reading, setting “Front page displays” to “A static page”, and then selecting “Main events page” as the front page. If this isn’t working, could you please send me a screenshot of what you see on that screen, specifically of the “Front page displays” setting?

    Thanks!

    Hi Brian,

You are correct – this was not part of the last release, and unfortunately I don’t have a timeframe as to when it will be included. It is currently still pending development. Since this thread is linked to our internal ticket for this issue, we’ll post an update here as soon as it has been released.

Thank you for your patience as we work on getting this resolved!

    Hi there!

This is a bit strange. Could you try testing for conflicts with your theme and other plugins? Please make sure that you have WP_DEBUG enabled in your wp-config.php file during your testing (both with your current theme and plugins enabled and also with a default theme and other plugins disabled), and if you see any errors appear, please copy and paste them in your reply.

Also, if you could send me a link to a page where this is happening, that would be helpful as well.

    Thanks!
