KeymasterHi Brandon,
That is a strange issue. If it’s okay with you, can I try to test it on your site?
Just so I understand exactly, here is the issue: A new user registers for your site, and when they try to log in, the password doesn’t work, so they need to reset it. Let me know if that is correct.
Do you know if this issue occurs on certain browsers (ie Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome)?
In the meantime, can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?
Let me know if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Micha,
Thank you for your response.
Sometimes plugin updates or theme updates can create changes that may conflict with other things on your site. Since every plugin and theme is created in a vacuum, without others in mind, conflicts may arise at any time when there is a change in the code, as with an update.
Using a plugin like Health Check does not make any changes to your site, so there is no risk involved with checking if the functionality returns with a bare WordPress install.
If you’d like to explore other routes as well, I’m happy to facilitate that as well, however I’d strongly encourage you to check for a conflict as well, if just for the fact that we can then rule that out as the culprit.
With that being said, you mention that you think a cache issue may be at play. We have seen some conflicts with W3 Total Cache in the past. You can read more about that issue here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/problems-with-minification/
The following blog post (not by us, but it does have a lot of useful information) has helped lead other users to resolve their cache issue:

Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Gretchen,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to find the root of the issue.
If you can point me to the page where you would like to hide the number of tickets available, I can try to provide you with some specific advice.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Liz,
I’m sorry to hear that you are still experiencing this issue!
Can you provide me with the CSV that you are using, so that I can do some testing on my end as well?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Liz,
Thanks for doing that, I see what you mean.
Can you take a screenshot of how you have that additional field set up with Filter Bar on the backend, so I can try to replicate things on my end?
In addition, there are a number of mixed content error messages appearing in the console, so I would recommend installing and configuring a plugin, like this one, in order to resolve those errors.
In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterThe link you should be using is the Public address in iCal format, which is two links below that first one.
I hope that helps!

KeymasterHi Kathy,
Can you please open up a separate thread so that we can provide you with individualized attention for your issue?
Once there, as a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Gretchen,
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing all of these issues as a results of the update.
Can you provide me with the URL to one of your imports? Also, can you take a screenshot of where you are seeing this error?

KeymasterHi Brandon,
Without some further testing, I’m not quite sure why the login page isn’t working for you.

KeymasterHi Alexandra,
If you change the view so that you can see a sidebar, you will see all of your calendars there:

To the right of that calendar name, if you hover over, you will see settings. Click on that and you will see the Public address in iCal format that you need.
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Declan,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
I was able to successfully import the event in the URL provided. Would you mind elaborating on what the issue is that you are having with your imports?
Also, I’m not seeing any screenshots attached, would you mind re-attaching?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Micha,
Thanks for providing me with all of that information.
I see in your error log that there may be a WordPress database error, which references your theme. I understand that you do not want to deactivate your theme, however another option would be for you to install the third-party plugin, Health Check, which can mimic a bare WordPress install while your site visitors still see your site the way that it normally appears.
Let me know if that is something that you can do, and how it goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Regis,
Yes, that is correct. As long as you are the Admin, you should be able to switch to your other users’s accounts.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime
