ParticipantHello –
I went through the process of updating and connecting to Eventbrite and my previously imported events are showing up in the history, but not connected. It’s treating my previous events like they are new Eventbrite events. How can I connect them without importing everything again?
ThanksBy the way, this plugin broke my website earlier today.

ParticipantThis is the error message that is showing at the top of every page – currently the plugin is overriding all of the content that I had added to the website and messing up the images. I’m really not happy with what is going on right now.

ParticipantOne more – how can I make the image synchronization stop. I don’t want the Eventbrite images on the website page – they are too small and look terrible. Plus, it just keeps adding them to my media library. Some of the events are in some kind of endless loop of updating. I don’t want it and am about ready to delete this plugin and go with something else. It’s terrible.

KeymasterHi Gretchen,
I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing all of these issues as a results of the update.
Can you provide me with the URL to one of your imports? Also, can you take a screenshot of where you are seeing this error?
In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Gretchen,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to find the root of the issue.
If you can point me to the page where you would like to hide the number of tickets available, I can try to provide you with some specific advice.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

ParticipantHi Jaime – Here’s a link:
https://offthehookarts.org/event/dynamics-breathing-synchronism/
My client prefers not to have the available tickets not appear on the page.
Thanks

KeymasterHi Gretchen,
Thanks for providing me with that link. You can hide the number of tickets remaining right from Eventbrite by changing the setting, as shown here:
Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime
