  • Hi Marie,

Thank you for your understanding.  Unfortunately I don’t have an ETA on when this will be resolved, but I can assure you that this is a high priority bug.

Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Hi Lucy,

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news.  Unfortunately I do not have an ETA on when this will be resolved.

If you’d like to customize things in the meantime, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/find-a-customizer/

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Claribel,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    • A conflict with another plugin
    • A conflict with your WordPress theme
    • A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    • Make a backup of your database
    • Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

Let me know how that goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Thanks so much for reaching out!

The events may not be updated on your site because your Event Update Authority is set to preserve changes made on your site.

If you’d prefer to have these changes overwritten by your Google Calendar, I’d recommend changing that setting.

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-aggregator-import-settings/#update-authority

In addition, I’d recommend updating all Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions and testing again.

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Adam,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

You are correct, when using the search bar, the results that come up are only related to the title and description of the event.

You can expand your search options using the Filter Bar plugin, which I see that you already have.

Let me know if you have any other questions on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Create Link to an Event’s Organizer Past Events #1579003

    Hi Brett,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

You can try creating the following URL to display past events for a specific organizer, using the organizer ID:

    http://www.your-site.com/events/list/?tribe_paged=1&tribe_event_display=past&tribe_organizers=2869

Let me know if that helps!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Imported Events duplicating #1579001

    Hi Esther,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

This isn’t currently a confirmed issue so I’d suggest following these recommended troubleshooting steps for your own site:

There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?

Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.

You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)

Whenever troubleshooting, it’s best to enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG (which will create a file on your server at /wp-content/debug.log if there are any WP_DEBUG messages) and share any debug messages you see while trying to replicate this issue and doing other things on your site relevant to this ticket (such as visiting your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and anything else you can think to do).

If there’s nothing obvious (such as a console error or WP_DEBUG message) pointing you to what might be the problem, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to Twenty Seventeen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.

Note that https://wordpress.org/plugins/plugin-detective/ may prove helpful as well. (third-party, not guaranteed or supported by us)

Of course, we always recommend restorable database and file backups as well as performing modifications first on a staging site before modifying anything on your live/production site.

If you still need assistance with this, please share (or re-share) your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts Mode) in a Private Reply.

In addition, can you provide me with the URL that you are trying to import, so that I can do some testing on my end?

Also, can you enable and check the Event Log under Events < Help to see if you see anything unusual?<span class=”Apple-converted-space”> </span>

Right under that is your Event Aggregator Status. Can you take a screenshot of what you see there?

That will give me a lot of extra information to help troubleshoot this.

Let us know what you find out.

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Marie,

Thanks so much for reaching out!

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing this problem.

Unfortunately, I could reproduce the same issue on my end. I have logged a bug report for this so it can be addressed in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.

I will set this thread’s status as “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.

We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

Thanks so much for reaching out!

We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.

I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.

They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.

The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.

Thank you for your patience as we see this through.

Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: RSVP stock amount not correct #1578981

    Hi Brett,

Thanks so much for reaching out again!

I’m sorry to hear that this issue is still occurring.

Is this happening on all of your events with RSVPs?

Can you take a screenshot of one of the events on the backend where you are seeing this issue?

Can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Ellie,

Can you take a screenshot of how that event looks on the backend in the Edit Event page?

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

in reply to: Event Aggregator is not working…. #1578958

    Hi Brenda,

As Barry previously mentioned, the Eventbrite event will not import if it is not in the proper event format, as is also the case with Google Calendar events.

If you import the following event, does it work for you?

    https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nyc-craft-brewers-festival-on-governors-island-free-tickets-47897569921?aff=ebdssbcitybrowse

This will give me a sense if the functionality itself is working for you.

If you are still interested in a refund, you can fill out the following form:

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
