KeymasterOkay, so only [tribe_events view = “map”] is not working? Are other shortcodes on your site working?
Can you confirm that you have gone through the testing for conflicts procedure?
Does the shortcode also not display when using a default WordPress theme, such as ‘Twentyseventeen’?
Let me know!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Brendan,
Thanks for providing me with all of that information.
You can take a look through the Release Notes Archives to see where changes have been made to the plugin:
https://theeventscalendar.com/category/products/release-notes/
You can try to recreate this functionality for the current version of Community Events using our Themer’s Guide as a starting point.
If you’d like to troubleshoot your Community Events submission form, I’d recommend starting off by going through our testing for conflicts procedure.
Let me know what you find and if you have any other questions along the way!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Felix,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
It seems that the issue is with your theme, correct? The events calendar page is an archive page, so it is not a traditional page that can be edited from the back end in that way.
You do have the option to hide this sidebar with some CSS, although you may have to adjust your layout on that page accordingly.
Let me know if you are interested in this option, and I can provide you with a CSS snippet to hide the sidebar.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime as well!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Felix,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can start off by amending the stylesheets and page templates that you are using within our plugin, and opt to pull fewer styles from your theme. This may help you to achieve the look you are going for.

If you need further assistance on this topic, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

Let me know how that goes!

The issue is that although we set the “main ticket purchase limit”, when buying tickets nothing stops you from really buy the whole of them. (i.e. we set 2 in a 12 capacity event).
In other words, are you seeing that users are able to add more tickets to their cart than the purchase limit? By default, if a user adds more than the purchase limit and adds to cart, they will only see the purchase limit in their cart. Let me know if you are seeing something different.
In regards to your second point, if you’d like to remove attendees, you do have to manually delete them yourself.
This article may provide some further insight on that topic:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/
The other question related to this, where can we add a manual attendee (with his/her data) that has for example booked by phone?
You can achieve this by integrating a third-party plugin. I’d recommend using this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-switching/
Let me know if you have any other questions!

Jaime

KeymasterHi Richard,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.
Do you have all of your cities and topics listed within your categories? Are you therefore looking to just hide some of your categories?
Let me know so that I can better assist you!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Guru,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
You can assign a user to be an Organizer of the event by adding them in under Events < Organizers or add them directly in the Edit Event page.
You can create a category, rather than a group, and assign an event to that particular category.
If you have any other questions about The Events Calendar, please post in our WordPress.org forum so that we can assist you over there.
Thanks,
Jaime

Thanks for reaching out again here as well!
I responded to your other thread related to the same issue, so I’m going to go ahead and close this duplicate thread.
See you over there!

KeymasterHi Brendan,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Was the way that you had the Event Categories in your Community Events form a customization?
If so, it may have been removed in an update if the changes were made directly to the plugin files.
If it was not a customization, I’d recommend starting off by going through our testing for conflicts procedure and let me know what you find out.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Greg,
Thanks for reaching out again here!
Unfortunately this is related to a known bug that we are currently working on.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this glitch and we are actively working on a solution for this.
I cannot guarantee when it will be fixed, as it’s in the development team’s hands now.
They need to assign it, code it, test it, and schedule it for release.
The good news is that you will be contacted as soon as a fix is available.
Thank you for your patience as we see this through. Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Greg,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Can you provide me with a screenshot of where you are seeing this issue?
In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:1. A conflict with another plugin
2. A conflict with your WordPress theme
3. A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
1. Make a backup of your database
2. Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
