KeymasterHi Uwe,
Thanks so much for reaching out again!
Do you only see this issue with this one organizer or with all of your organizers?
Can you take a screenshot of the missing event on the backend so I can try to replicate things on my end?
Can you try updating all of your Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions and test if this issue still occurs then?
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Chris,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately, It is not possible to change the plugin files like that.
That only works for files in the views directory (event-tickets-plus/src/views/), which our the front end templates.
Instead that coding needs to be added through an action in your theme’s functions.php.
If you are just looking to change the wording of something, you can try using the following tutorial to change the string:

Let me know if that helps!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Chrystal,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
You can create a separate category for each city, so that you can display separate calendars for each city.
You can read more about Event Categories here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/event-categories/
In addition, you can utilize our Filter Bar plugin to allow users to select the city or category that they’d like to display.
Also, feel free to check out our demo site here.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi David,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
If users have Admin credentials, then they can add events from the backend of your site.
You may also be interested in reading more about Roles and Permissions:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/admin-roles-and-permissions/
Also, with Community Events, users can add events from the front-end of your site. You can choose whether to have these events published right away or saved as drafts, so that you can review them before publishing.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Marc,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Unfortunately that feature is not currently available at this time.
You can also vote on this idea in our Feature Requests, as we tend to implement ideas based on customer feedback, so your input is greatly appreciated:

KeymasterHi Kat,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
I don’t have list view set up anywhere on our site
It looks like you do have list view set up, but you can disable it by going to Events Settings < Display and uncheck List View under Enable Event Views
Do you still see this display issue if you switch to a default WordPress theme, like Twentyseventeen?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Megan,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Just to let you know, we are limited by our Support Policy in how much we can help with customizations, but I will try to point you in the right direction.
If this has to be a widget then you’ll probably want to register a new sidebar (or reuse an existing one) and position it above the events calendar.
You would do this by editing your templates – which one exactly depends on your Events > Settings > Template > Events Template setting – but a custom ecp-page-template.php might be a good choice here if you’re setup to use the Default Events Template.
Some required reading (unless you’ve looked at this stuff before of course):

KeymasterHi Joelle,
Thanks so much for reaching out again!
Can you take a screenshot of what this event looks like on the backend, as well as a link to this event?
Does this occur for all events, or just one event?
Do you see the functionality restored if you downgrade to the previous version? You can access those versions on your Downloads page.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Kristin,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
This is something that is in place and created through WordPress itself. You may be able to achieve this customization on your own, however it’s not something we can really assist with here.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

Let me know if you have any other questions for us!

KeymasterHi Russell,
As a first troubleshooting step, can you try flushing your permalinks by going to Settings < Permalinks and Save Changes. You will want to clear your browser and site cache as well after doing this.
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Stephanie,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
Can you update all of your Events Calendar related plugins to their most recent versions and test if there is still an issue there?
Also, what do you have set for your Import Date Range Limit, under Other URL Import Settings in Events Settings < Imports?
Let me know if you have any other quetions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Diego,
It looks like this actually may be a WooCommerce issue. In any case, I found this thread in WooCommerce Support that may help resolve your issue.

KeymasterHi Paul,
Can you take a screenshot of what one of your events looks like on the backend? I’d like to take a look at how you have things set up so that we can try to prevent this from happening again.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterHi Gavin,
I see what you mean on your site, however I am not seeing the same results on my site.
Here are my settings:
- Included events in main blog loop
- Your homepage displays your latest posts (Settings < Reading)
- Sort order in blog loop- Published
- Twentyseventeen theme, EC PRO enabled
- Chronological Posts disabled
With these settings, my latest posts display first. Do you see the same results?
If not, can you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any debug messages you see?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

KeymasterThanks for providing that information. Does this occur with all of your events/tickets, or just on one of them?
Can you take a screenshot of what this event looks like on the backend, so that I can try to replicate things on my end?
In the meantime, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime
