ParticipantHey John,
There’s fortunately no “problem” here, nothing wrong with the code etc. It’s just an unfortunate but inherent limit to the amount of screen space available for the large number of column headers that are on the screen.
To hide some columns and only show the content you need, you should be able to click that “Screen Options” tab in the top-right corner of that admin page, and un-check the names of any columns you don’t need.
Let me know if that helps!

ParticipantHey there,
This is indeed technically possible – you need custom CSS to achieve this, and while the full customization is a bit outside the scope of the forums, the most basic version of it would be adding CSS like the following to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file:
/* The Events Grid */
.tribe-mini-calendar-grid-wrapper {
float: left;
width: 49%;
}/* The Events List */
.tribe-mini-calendar-list-wrapper {
float: left;
width: 49%;
margin-left: 2%;
}
Like I mentioned, this is a very basic start for this – you can tweak all the widths, margins, padding, and anything else about the styles to make it look just right on your site. But hopefully this helps! And P.S., if it seems not to help at first, try adding !important to any declarations that don’t seem to take effect. Like this, for the Grid wrapper for example, instead of what is posted above for it:
/* The Events Grid */
.tribe-mini-calendar-grid-wrapper {
float: left !important;
width: 49% !important;
}
Cheers!

ParticipantHello,
What versions of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are currently active on your site?
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Joanne,
Thanks for posting your login information, your willingness to help resolve the issue greatly appreciated. I did remove that information, however, and did not log into your site – we unfortunately have a strict policy about this and cannot log into user sites for any reason. I removed your admin information for security/privacy purposes.
As for your issues themselves, I checked out your site and wasn’t able to really nail down a conclusive culprit to blame for these issues. At this time, then, my best recommendation would be to run through the troubleshooting steps outlined here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
Check on these specific issues after each step in that troubleshooting process. It should yield some useful results.
Let us know what you find!
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Erin,
Sorry for your troubles here – the first thing I’m curious about is the Timezone Settings on your WordPress installation (Settings > General).
Next, what timezone are your events on Facebook in themselves? Are they mostly in the same timezone? If not, then do you notice any differences with date and time after importing the events in one timezone vs. another?
Finally, for now, can you clarify each of these pieces of information:
1. What version of WordPress is currently active on your site?
2. What version of The Events Calendar is currently active on your site?
3. What version of Facebook Events is currently active on your site?Thank you!

ParticipantHey Travis,
Thanks for even being interested in Events Calendar PRO, and for trying out The Events Calendar itself.
The CSV importer is indeed a bit tricky to work with sometimes, but I’m curious what your exact issues are with it so far? You mention this: “I ran into an issue while trying to import some events.”
Can you specify exactly what is happening when you try to import events, what issues you face etc.?
I’ll come back to Question #1 based on those details, since there could be a bug here or something and I’ll try to reproduce your exact problems with a bit more detail based on your reply.
As for Question #2, the only methods for grouping events at this time are the included taxonomies of “Event Category” and “Tag” – otherwise, there is unfortunately not a specific way of grouping events together as one “collection” of events.
Finally, for now, for Question #3, there is not a limit imposed anywhere in the code, necessarily. However, as with any large amount of data on a website, if you have a ton of events on a page with a server not configured to handle the load, and no caching or anything, then there definitely be performance issues. We admit to and are aware of (and actively working on, quite intensively!) some performance limitations with The Events Calendar – we just haven’t had many users need it to store dozens of thousands of events, so it’s an area we’ve lacked in, admittedly, but we’re working on some pretty clever solutions to vastly improve performance and scalability in coming releases.
I hope my answer for Question #3 isn’t too vague – let me know if it is, or if you have any other followup questions/concerns/etc. here in addition to the details about your CSV Import issue.
Thanks Travis!

ParticipantHey Brad,
First, I’d like to thank you for even considering any of our plugins to begin with! It always means lot.
Next, I’m happy to share two facts with you:
- The combination of WooCommerce, The Events Calendar, and our WooCommerce Tickets add-on for The Events Calendar sounds like it will work well to meet your needs. More on this below.
- Both WooCommerce and The Events Calendar are free, meaning WooCommerce Tickets is the only expense here. We have a pretty lenient refund policy, which means you can try out this solution first-hand on your site. If, within 30 days after your purchase, you realize it won’t work out for you, no problem: just shoot us an email at [email protected] for a refund and we can issue one immediately. 🙂
To address some of the more specific points you raised, this ticketing solution will allow folks to register for classes on your site. You can just create Free tickets if the classes themselves are free, but still get all the benefits of having people “sign up” for the class, only allowing a set number of people to sign up, etc.
When it comes to coupon codes, this is indeed possible – it’s not specific to The Events Calendar, and is a feature of WooCommerce itself, but “tickets” made by The Events Calendar’s ticketing add-ons exist as actual WooCommerce “Products”, so coupon codes work totally fine with them.
As for having events in registered-users-only area, this is possible but a bit more detailed in terms of the configuration required to set it up. I can happily elaborate on that if you’d like, let me know!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Anna,
There aren’t any such promotions at this time. One thing I noticed, however, is that you titled this thread “Multisite Pro Package”, so I wonder if what you’re asking about is if there any special discounts for Multisite networks specifically?
Well, if so, the answer is still unfortunately that there are not any such promotions at this time – but we have a new Multisite-specific license that can be a big cost-saver if you are seeking to activate PRO on more than ten Multisite sub-sites.
I hope the information here helps – let me know if that’s the case, or if you have any other followup questions, concerns, etc.
Cheers! 🙂

ParticipantHey there,
Sorry you’ve run into some problems here, though I’m curious if you can clarify two things, for now:
1. “My websites are using Facebook to promote events” – how specifically is Facebook being used on your site to promote events? What specific Facebook tools are being employed?
2. “this problem does not happen with WooCommerce-only websites we’re running.” – would you be able to disable The Events Calendar on your current site and test it for a bit with your Facebook conversion tools, and see if the problems persist or not? I realize this may be a bit cumbersome to do, but it would be quite useful as each site can be different.
Thank you! 🙂

ParticipantHey Daniel,
First of all, thanks for even considering our plugins to begin with! As for your query issues, can you specify the exact locations on your site where you see this SQL? Are you finding it on specific tag or category archives, where some tags or cats do not produce this but some do?
Further, are these categories and tags the generic WordPress “Category” and “Tag” taxonomy? If so, are you tagging Events with these default tags and/or default categories in any way?
Finally, what versions of The Events Calendar and of WordPress itself are active on your site?
Thank you!
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Dawn,
First of all, I’m sorry you’re having some more headaches with Community Events. It seems like there is more going on with your site to blame here than something with Community Events itself – theme or plugin code conflicts, perhaps – so your patience is greatly appreciated while we work through these problems one at a time.
I’ve just responded to your other thread here → https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/community-event-user-has-to-log-in-twice/
It’s possible that these two threads are related, so handling them in tandem is something I’ll try to do.
However, for now I think the best step is to clarify some of the terms you’re using. I’ll do so in a set order as follows, hopefully you can address them in the order they appear to help keep things organized:
- “In the email I received as the admin user” – Do you mean the email notification that arrived in the inbox of your main admin account’s email address?
- “After clicking, I see the same screen I did as the site user setting up the event” – when you are redirected back to your wordpress site, are you still logged in as the submitter user, or are you logged in as the site administrator?
- “I would expect that instead of a “Submit” button I would have an “Approve” button at the bottom of the event or be directed to the login for the website and then “Drafts” area of the Dashboard” – you can set the default status for submitted events to “Drafts” in Events > Settings > Community in your admin, then log in as an admin and manually approve them by changing their status to “Publish”. Is that the sort of thing you mean?
There’s a decent amount of information here but it’s important to clarify these terms before proceeding – thank you in advance for your response!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Dawn,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
To configure this requirement for users having to log in to submit events, are you using the “Allow Anonymous Submissions” checkbox in the admin settings page for Community Events? This settings page is Events > Settings > Community, for reference.
1. All you should need to require logging-in for event submission is to leave this option un-checked. Is it currently?
2. Do you have any other login/permissions-related/membership plugins on your site that you are trying to use to force the logins?
3. You say this in your first post here: “but when I type in the login information, I’m redirected to the WordPress login page” Can you clarify exactly what you mean when you say “when I type in the login information”. Where are you typing it in at first? Is it the default log in prompt from Community Events itself?
These three pieces of information will give us a good foundation for further troubleshooting here. Thanks in advance for addressing them, Dawn! 🙂
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantSounds good Chris, let us know how it goes!

ParticipantHey Michael,
One more question, after you address the items above:
How is this information generated on your site → https://cloudup.com/cGu1fIyxp6k
Where does that come from?
Do you have a plugin activated that gives you these extra URL options or something?Thank you.
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Michael,
Deactivating plugins should not break your site – this step may not be essential right now, so no, you do not have to deactivate plugins right now if you’re worried it will cause problems.
As for the permalinks:
you mean the basic Permalink Settings in WP – correct?
Yes.
• Ignore the “custom structure” option or what gets entered into it
• Just set the “Post name” radio button like I have in that screenshot
• Click “Save changes”Let us know what you find after doing the above steps.
Thank you!
