GuestHi,
I’m very interested in purchasing the Events Calendar, but I can’t be sure that it will suit my needs until I have a chance to try it. I’m in charge of an adult educational facility for the disabled and I would like the students to sign up for classes online. I would also like to have the option to charge certain students for these classes. I’m guessing I could do that with coupon codes or I could use additional events that are kept in a registered user only area.
Please let me know which ad-ons you would recommend, whether or not they would accomplish all of my goals, and whether or not you would allow me to try them before I buy. Thanks!

ParticipantHey Brad,
First, I’d like to thank you for even considering any of our plugins to begin with! It always means lot.
Next, I’m happy to share two facts with you:
- The combination of WooCommerce, The Events Calendar, and our WooCommerce Tickets add-on for The Events Calendar sounds like it will work well to meet your needs. More on this below.
- Both WooCommerce and The Events Calendar are free, meaning WooCommerce Tickets is the only expense here. We have a pretty lenient refund policy, which means you can try out this solution first-hand on your site. If, within 30 days after your purchase, you realize it won’t work out for you, no problem: just shoot us an email at [email protected] for a refund and we can issue one immediately. ๐
To address some of the more specific points you raised, this ticketing solution will allow folks to register for classes on your site. You can just create Free tickets if the classes themselves are free, but still get all the benefits of having people “sign up” for the class, only allowing a set number of people to sign up, etc.
When it comes to coupon codes, this is indeed possible โย it’s not specific to The Events Calendar, and is a feature of WooCommerce itself, but “tickets” made by The Events Calendar’s ticketing add-ons exist as actual WooCommerce “Products”, so coupon codes work totally fine with them.
As for having events in registered-users-only area, this is possible but a bit more detailed in terms of the configuration required to set it up. I can happily elaborate on that if you’d like, let me know!
Cheers,
