Events listed in dashboard are in very narrow columns

Greetings,

I’m trying to understand what could be causing the events page in the dashboard to look this way. It happened after installing the 3.10 update. Please see screenshot here.

Tried deactivating/reactivating with no change. I looked into the debug.log file on my FTP and found some PHP Notice messages. Not sure if this could be causing the issue.

Hey John,

There’s fortunately no “problem” here, nothing wrong with the code etc. It’s just an unfortunate but inherent limit to the amount of screen space available for the large number of column headers that are on the screen.

To hide some columns and only show the content you need, you should be able to click that “Screen Options” tab in the top-right corner of that admin page, and un-check the names of any columns you don’t need.

Ah, sorry I forgot to address those debug.log items John!

Fortunately, those are just “notices”, not outright “errors” – in other words, nothing is broken per se, just an outdated classname from within The Events Calendar or Events Calendar PRO is being called. The 3.11 releases for The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO are coming very, very soon, so just be sure to upgrade both and ensure that the active versions of both plugins on your site match. I.e., that they’re both at 3.11, when that update comes out 🙂

That should fix those deprecated notices.

I’ll close up this thread with that in mind, but if for some reason any other issues arise – or if you have any other questions – open a new thread any time!
