Hi,
we run newest WP Version and newest Calendar versions.
When I go on a reocurring event – trying the first one – using the link “Erfahren Sie mehr” = See more,
I get a “Bad Request”.
This seems to come up always on the first day of the event.
See:See e. g.
and look for “Beach Basketball”

Sorry about these issues! I checked out the event you suggested and noticed this was the URL that was being used:
https://www.ferienwohnung-cuxhaven.eu/%tribe_events_slug%/beach-basketball/2015-07-25/
To try and figure out why this is happening, can you address each of the following points in order? Namely:
1. What are your site’s Permalinks settings? These can be found by simply going to Settings > Permalinks in your WP admin.
2. What are your “Events Slug” and “Single Events Slug” options? You can find these by going to Events > Settings in your WP admin, as shown in this screenshot → https://cloudup.com/cI_0Ano_Veu
3. Does anything improve if you go to go to Settings > Permalinks in your admin area, and just click “Save Changes” without actually making any changes? This may seem like an odd thing to do but is a little “trick” within WordPress to get the permalinks across your site to refresh, which might help here.
Thank you!

For item number 1 that I posted above, about permalinks, I just meant the basic Permalinks settings in Settings > Permalinks in your WP admin.
Some of your information is hard for me to read because of it being in a different language, but it seems like you are doing more to your URLs than just using the default Permalinks settings?
If so, try removing all custom rules and per-post-type rules – if you have any URL or rewrite-related plugins, deactivate them.
If you set Settings > Permalinks to just /%postname%, like in this screenshot, does this help your issues at all? → https://cloudup.com/cM20-56_f5m
Thank you! 🙂
GeorgeJuly 19, 2015 at 12:08 pm #987632MichaelParticipantHi George,
at the moment I am not able to deactivate e .g plugins (like yoast) and so on. Because that might break my permalink structure, related to the rest of the site?
In your link: https://cloudup.com/cM20-56_f5m
you mean the basic Permalink Settings in WP – correct? In your case it is set to “post name” and not to “custom structure”? But I guess you want me to set it to “custom structure” and /%postname% ??? correct?regards
MJuly 19, 2015 at 1:57 pm #987643GeorgeParticipantHey Michael,
Deactivating plugins should not break your site – this step may not be essential right now, so no, you do not have to deactivate plugins right now if you’re worried it will cause problems.
As for the permalinks:
you mean the basic Permalink Settings in WP – correct?
Yes.
• Ignore the “custom structure” option or what gets entered into it
• Just set the “Post name” radio button like I have in that screenshot
• Click “Save changes”Let us know what you find after doing the above steps.
Thank you!
GeorgeJuly 19, 2015 at 2:00 pm #987646GeorgeParticipantHey Michael,
One more question, after you address the items above:
How is this information generated on your site → https://cloudup.com/cGu1fIyxp6k
Where does that come from?
Do you have a plugin activated that gives you these extra URL options or something?Thank you.
GeorgeJuly 20, 2015 at 7:06 am #987789MichaelParticipantHi George,
it comes from this plugin: http://de.wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-permalinks/
regards
MJuly 21, 2015 at 7:57 am #988400GeorgeParticipantAlright, thanks Michael.
I’d recommend you check out my reply right above that one → http://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/reocurring-events-bad-request/#post-987643
Deactivating plugins is an essential step, especially that custom post type permalinks one.
Work through what I wrote in the reply above, the one I linked to which is my reply right above the one where I saw “One more question”, and let us know what you find!
Your patience with this issue is much appreciated, thank you Michael!

July 30, 2015 at 1:30 am #991673MichaelParticipantHi George,
sorry for my late reply.
I did set the Settings > Permalinks to just /%postname% — but no luck?
regards
MJuly 30, 2015 at 1:33 am #991675MichaelParticipantSorry one more.
Meanwhile I got away with the “recurring events” by setting them all up to single events.
But of course that is only because of that problem.regards
MJuly 30, 2015 at 12:25 pm #991891GeorgeParticipantThanks Michael – were you able to run the complete set of troubleshooting steps I linked to above for http://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/reocurring-events-bad-request/#post-987643, including the deactivation of other plugins?
If so – let us know what you find!
Thanks,
