    Thank you, @mediaversa!

Can you be sure to share a URL to the public page? Just in case it’s any different than the URLs above 🙂

    Thank you!

Sounds good, keep us posted on things!

Also, I’m curious – have you changed your “Permalinks” settings to something like /%postname%/ ?

You do not have to do this right now – but if 403 errors persist, I would recommend trying out this change, and then as mentioned above if this does not help, proceed with contacting your web host.

    Thank you!

Thank you @James / David – there are numerous places where currency symbols are defined, so thank you for clarifying that it’s this specific location.

I just tested this quite extensively and cannot produce problems whatsoever – the behavior on your site is odd!

That unfortunately means that, at this time, the best course of action I could recommend for you would be to run through each step in this troubleshooting process here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

After EACH STEP in that process, head back to Events → Settings in your wp-admin and try changing that currency symbol value. Click “Save changes” and then see if the currency symbol is properly changed.

Let us know what you find by doing this!

    Thank you,
    George

Great! Any chance you could post exactly what you did to get things to start working again?

Hey @John and @Thomas, I really appreciate your patience with this – unfortunately, I cannot speak specifically for Loco Translate, and that might be part of the issue here, but I will investigate our translations nonetheless.

I unfortunately don’t have any immediate steps of action that can be taken here – if there is an issue with our .pot file, which seems to be the case here, then unfortunately these issues will not be fixed until the next release at the earliest 🙁

Please let me know if you have any further thoughts about that, or any further questions here – if not, I will likely close this thread for now to keep things organized, and recommend giving translations another try after the next update. If issues persist you can open a new thread.

I’m sorry about there not being an immediate course of action here.

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hey Rick,

Thanks for reaching out, and for your interest in our software – I’m sorry that it’s caused some conflicts with Optinmonster thus far, and I’m also sorry to bear the news that, unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that by adding the Events Calendar Pro add-on, a conflict-free option will become available (with shortcodes, widgets, or otherwise).

So a conflict could very well persist even if you add the Events Calendar Pro add-on and use shortcodes.

I’m sorry about this, Rick – if it’s any consolation, we do have a no-questions-asked refund policy that is valid for the first 30 days after purchase. This affords a sort-of “trial” period, where you can try out the plugin and the Events Calendar Pro firsthand and see if it works well for your project.

If you try it out and conflicts with Optinmonster persist, though, just follow the steps on this page and we can issue a full refund immediately for the license → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/

Sorry for the lack of a definitive “yes” or “no” here – I hope this information all helps, though!

    Thank you,
    George

    Hello,

Can you please share a link to the events page where this is happening?

Also, can you share your “System Information” with us? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Thanks!

    Hi @Steven,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry if you feel that our policy of not helping with customizations is a stifling one; however, it’s also a universal one, so to be fair I will indeed say “sorry, we cannot help with customizations” to you because I have to say it to every other customer who seeks help with customizations.

Please see the “Product Support” section of our terms and conditions here → http://theeventscalendar.com/terms

As an effort to go above and beyond that policy, please share a link to your site and to where we can see the Map View, and an event with that red box whose size you want to increase. I will do my best to recommend some CSS to fix that (CSS is required here, not anything in the Themer’s Guide 😉 ).

Those are questions – or demands, rather – #2 and #3 that you posed, because those should be fairly simple to address. Demand #1, unfortunately, is a bit too far outside the scope of our support rules even for my good intentions here. I will recommend as much as I can there, based on what I see at the link you provide, but implementing a full-width background image can be tricky and require much fine-tuning.

    Thanks,
    george

Ah, thanks for clarifying Thomas – sorry I misunderstood the nature of the question!

Event Tickets Plus is indeed translatable, but it’s a new plugin, so it may just not have any (or, at least, enough) German translations submitted for it.

The only way I can see around this would be to make a new translation based on the plugin’s .pot file – if you’re not familiar with doing this, it’s unfortunately a general WordPress topic so we cannot help with it in terms of support. However, it’s fairly simple and there are many resources online about how to translate a WordPress plugin, which I would encourage you to seek out if you want to do this.

Otherwise, we unfortunately have to wait for and implement German translations into the plugin 🙁

Sorry if this is all disappointing news! Let me know what you think and if I can help with anything else.

    Sincerely,
    George

    Hey @Pinder,

The file I originally checked, the one that is being pulled onto your page, does not have the code. This actually could reveal a deeper problem at play here.

See this version of the file:

    http://buffalohealthyliving.com/wp-content/themes/thegossip/style.css?ver=4.3.1

That’s the version being loaded on the Community Events page. Your custom CSS is not showing there.

However, now look at the “raw” version of that file, without the ?ver parameter:

    http://buffalohealthyliving.com/wp-content/themes/thegossip/style.css

In this version, your custom CSS is showing up.

That is odd behavior – I’m sorry about the trouble resulting from this.

I would still recommend the steps I recommended in the reply above. And also, just to note this, I appreciate your willingness to let us log into your site – however, we cannot log into customer sites for any reason, so please do not post any login credentials on this forum.

    Thank you!

    Hey Tony,

    Thank you for this!

    This error is the culprit:

Fatal error: Class ‘TribeWooTickets’ not found in /home1/saltydin/public_html/wp-content/themes/therestaurant/functions.php on line 8

This reveals that there is a customization related to WooCommerce Tickets in your theme, and this is breaking things.

We don’t technically offer any support for custom code, but to try and help you solve this, I would recommend copying all of the contents of that functions.php file and pasting the whole contents of the file into a Gist at http://gist.github.com

Then, share a link to that Gist – I will try to identify the specific code problem in the file, and recommend a fix for it.

    Thank you!

Thanks for this Matt, things look good for the most part and nothing stands out as immediately problematic.

With that being said, issues are still persisting according to your most recent report, and I’m sorry about that! The good news, hopefully, is that some stock-related bugs have indeed been identified within Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus, and are being actively worked on now. Hopefully a set of bugfixes will be included in an update soon – if that is set to happen soon, I will post here as soon as I find out.

As for the original issue here, the error, I’m unfortunately going to have to keep digging 🙁 I will even try to rope in some developers here to see if they have any deeper insights.

I’m sorry that things are at somewhat of a stalemate, Matt – the stock issues are being worked on, and I’m still working on (and scratching my head about) the original error message reported here…

Just wanted to post here to update you on things and keep you in the loop – thank you so much for your patience and for all of the information you’ve been providing!

    Sincerely,
    George

Thank you – one thing I’m noticing is that I still cannot see that CSS code I recommended in your theme’s style.css file → http://buffalohealthyliving.com/wp-content/themes/thegossip/style.css?

This does not mean that you did not add it via the Appearance > Editor screen – even if you added the code there, perhaps it’s not updating as a result of similar sorts of issues that are causing the Community Events issues too.

I’ve reviewed all of your system information and cannot spot anything out of place there, and so at this point, I would recommend doing the complete set of troubleshooting steps outlined in this article → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/

Check on the Community Events issues after EACH step in that process, and see if the behavior is different anywhere along the way.

If it is – let me know!

These steps may seem tedious when you see them described in the article, but I can assure that this process usually takes only a few minutes to go through.

    Thank you,
    George

    Hey @Nickolas,

I’m sorry that even the update hasn’t helped much – since it’s the most up-to-date code though, it’s still best to be using that anyways.

Unfortunately some custom code is needed again, but this should meet your needs and keep excerpts short but also preserve the HTML. Simply copy the code in the Gist below into your theme’s functions.php file like you did with Josh’s fix previously – I’ve tested this and it worked well for me, I hope it does for you too!

Here is the Gist where you can find the code:

Be sure to copy the entire function over – let me know if this helps!
