    Why don’t you answer my question. I have Events and just renewed for $62.00.

    1. I want to know about upgrading to premium and the benefits.

    2. People who input on my calendar events currently cannot change the venue or organizer so cannot post.

    3. Why does events/settings/display/Add HTML before event content it duplicates the comment before the events info?

    4. Brittney Dullin is listed as contact and is no longer the contact. I own this website and am the contact.

    5. Why can’t someone call me and tell me why I am buying a product that isn’t working and I have no answer on when it will be fixed????

    Hey @pinder,

    I’m sorry for all of the trouble here and will address each of your questions.

    Why don’t you answer my question

    What question are you referring to? Did you make another post on the forums or something? If so, please link to where you asked a question that we did not answer; I will investigate this 🙂

    1. I want to know about upgrading to premium and the benefits.

    You mention in your post that you just renewed your license – so it sounds like you already have a premium license. Can you clarify what you mean here? For the most part, getting a license higher up than your current one would just enable you to install the software on a larger number of sites.

    2. People who input on my calendar events currently cannot change the venue or organizer so cannot post.
    3. Why does events/settings/display/Add HTML before event content it duplicates the comment before the events info?

    These indeed sound like technical issues and I’m sorry to hear about these – can you please share a link to your Community Events submission page? I will look at it firsthand and see what I can learn.

    4. Brittney Dullin is listed as contact and is no longer the contact. I own this website and am the contact.

    5. Why can’t someone call me and tell me why I am buying a product that isn’t working and I have no answer on when it will be fixed????

    I don’t see the name “Brittney Dullin” in any of the contact information for your license, is that what you mean? If not, can you clarify what you mean here?

    Next, we do not provide phone support at this time. This is a universal rule that applies to all customers.

    Thank you,
    George

    Please see:

    http://buffalohealthyliving.com/events/submit/add

    You cannot add a new venue or organizer. It automatically defaults to the top listed venue or organizer.

    Thank you @Pinder.

    There is clearly some sort of JavaScript error happening here – I admit that I’m not entirely sure what the error is, but for now, I would recommend pasting the following CSS into the bottom of your theme’s style.css file:

    .new-organizer:last-of-type .organizer {
    display: inline-block !important;
    }

    This should temporarily fix the problem for now, and buy us some time for further investigation.

    Let me know if this helps!

    Sincerely,
    George

    Your suggestion does not help at all. Why am I paying for a product that doesn’t work, and why is no one helping me fix it?

    Note from a client to explain the issue:
    I’m on your website trying to submit the upcoming seminar When I get to the “organizer details” section, it doesn’t let me add another name. It only lists one option which is the first name in that section. Even when I manually type in a name in the box from the drop down it just automatically goes to that same name. Also, when I hit “add another organizer” it gives me the same tab with the same company and won’t accept anything new when I type it. This worked for 12 months and is suddenly not working.

    @Pinder:

    1. I am clearly here trying to help you fix this. I understand the frustrations with things like this, but am trying to help here and it unfortunately requires some back-and-forth to resolve issues like this.

    2. By “issues like this”, to be clear, I mean that this seems to be happening because of your theme, to begin with.

    3. I looked at the bottom of your theme’s style.css file → http://buffalohealthyliving.com/wp-content/themes/thegossip/style.css

    The code I recommended is not even there – so have you tried the specific thing I suggested? To reiterate, it is to add the specific block of CSS code I recommended to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file.

    If you do add this, and are certain there, and issues persist, then do not remove the code, and let me know that issues persist. I will confirm that the code is there and keep working on this with you to fix this.

    Thank you,
    George

    Please send me a screen shot and directions as to where to put this. I am not a developer and have no idea how to do this. Thanks.

    new-organizer:last-of-type .organizer {
    display: inline-block !important;
    }

    The snippet you asked us to add does not fix the problem. The community still cannot add events and list an existing or new organizer. It defaults to the first one on the list, they give up, and don’t add anything. This is a significant problem. What is the point of having a community calendar when the community cannot add anything properly?

    Hello,

    I have the same issue on my client’s site: http://www.womenslifestylekazoo.com/events/community/add

    It keeps saying “Organizer email is required” when I hit submit. There is no place to add the Organizer Email.

    I added the CSS you mentioned and that didn’t help anything.

    Need a fix asap.

    Thank you!

    Do I get this calendar free until you fix my issues? You still cannot add a venue. What is the point of paying for this if I can’t get this to work? I am willing to upgrade, pay more, etc. even pay for you fixing it. Why can’t anyone fix this? My community cannot add to my calendar!!!

    Hi Kim,

    Can you please open up a new and separate thread on these forums about your specific issues? When doing so, can you also include your “System Information”? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Handling issues in separate threads allows for more efficient and organized support, and helps us see each individual issue to its own end.

    Thank you!

    @Pinder,

    I’m sorry for your frustration. There are two things you can do from there that will bring us closer to a solution:

    1. Add the CSS code that I recommended and see if it helps – you mention not knowing how to do this, so to learn how, check out this article: https://codex.wordpress.org/Appearance_Editor_Screen

    The basic idea is that you just go to Appearance → Editor in your wp-admin; here you will see the style.css file and its contents. Scroll to the bottom of this file, paste in the code I recommended, and then click “Save Changes”.

    If you have any caching plugins, deactivate them for now.

    2. Can you please share your “System Information”? Here’s how → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    You keep writing things like “Why can’t anyone fix this?” and such, and I just want to address these comments:

    • We are actively working on helping you here.
    • Please understand that your issue is not one that I can reproduce, and so at this time there is no evidence of a bug in our code specifically.
    • Thus, it seems like the issue is arising from a code conflict on your site, from your theme or another plugin.
    • So we are working on trying to figure out the problem.
    • Our support response times are 24 hours, meaning we try to respond within 24 hours to each new reply at the latest. And this is for Mondays – Fridays only, but as you can see, even here on a Saturday I am writing this reply to try and bring about a resolution. I would not do that if I did not genuinely want to help! 🙂

    Fixing this is something that is not immediate, and that we will have to work together to accomplish.

    I totally understand your frustration, and appreciate your patience and cooperation with this process thus far. I only ask for a bit more of it while we investigate these issues and try out solutions.

    I would appreciate it if you could acknowledge these comments here. 🙂 I am dedicated to trying to help resolve your issues, but it will just take some time and some investigation and is unfortunately not an immediate process.

    Sincerely,
    George
