ParticipantHello,
Okay so, before you tell me “Sorry we cannot help with this or custom CSS see our Themer’s Guide.” I’d just like to skip the step of me saying “yes you can, please do your best because we both know this has been done a thousand times and the Themer’s Guide is no use for me here.”1. I’m trying to add a full-width image behind the map on the map view. OR add a full-width color row or container that the map is in.
2. I’m also trying to change the color of the background for the list of events that populate underneath the map.
3. I would like to make the red box around “Find out more” slightly bigger – http://imgur.com/VegNFzK
Please help.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi @Steven,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry if you feel that our policy of not helping with customizations is a stifling one; however, it’s also a universal one, so to be fair I will indeed say “sorry, we cannot help with customizations” to you because I have to say it to every other customer who seeks help with customizations.
Please see the “Product Support” section of our terms and conditions here β http://theeventscalendar.com/terms

As an effort to go above and beyond that policy, please share a link to your site and to where we can see the Map View, and an event with that red box whose size you want to increase. I will do my best to recommend some CSS to fix that (CSS is required here, not anything in the Themer’s Guide π ).
Those are questions βΒ or demands, rather βΒ #2 and #3 that you posed, because those should be fairly simple to address. Demand #1, unfortunately, is a bit too far outside the scope of our support rules even for my good intentions here. I will recommend as much as I can there, based on what I see at the link you provide, but implementing a full-width background image can be tricky and require much fine-tuning.
Thanks,
