ParticipantHey @Stratejusinc,
I’m sorry to hear that issues are persisting.
You never responded to our replies in that other thread, so for starters:
1. Did the code fix I wrote for you in that other thread help at all?
2. Can you post your site’s complete System Information to this thread so that I can investigate your site’s makeup at this time? If we find different things on different pages, then I can compare my site’s makeup to yours and use that information to try and recreate your issues.
3. Can you specify which exact scripts and stylesheets load where they’re not supposed to, now that you’ve updated to 4.2.2?
Our support forums are indeed the best avenue for discussing issues with our plugins, so thank you for opening a new thread. And to be clear, we do not close threads ourselves most of the time, unless an issue is resolved. We have a bot that auto-closes threads if there is no activity from the customer after more than 2 weeks, like in that other thread. This helps keep forum content fresh and up-to-date, and helps ensure that people aren’t digging up old threads about old versions of the plugins and reporting issues with more recent versions of the plugins in those old threads—which can make it much harder to provide support to multiple folks at a time, for example.
Thank you for opening a new thread here. I apologize for the inconvenience, and for the fact that the recent update didn’t hit the bullseye on the specific scripts you are mentioning. Please let me know about each of the three things I listed above, and I will see what’s going on here and help us truly resolve this problem.
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Ryan,
Thanks for reaching out. I’m not sure why this error is persisting if your plugins are up to date, but am happy to take a closer look!
To help me investigate this, can you post your site’s complete System Information? Here’s how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
That’ll help me take a closer look and see what’s going on.
Thanks!
GeorgeJuly 11, 2016 at 11:00 am in reply to: HELP _ Events Calendar Plug-in permanently disabled by our hosting company! #1138237George
ParticipantHey Kelly,
I’m really sorry to hear this, and am eager to help. It sounds like all of that CPU usage might have been coming from a recent issue we had with Events Calendar Pro, where it was causing recurring events to be endlessly created!
This was a huge issue, so our developers worked hard to have a fix ready for the workweek this Monday morning. We have published version 4.2.2.1 of Events Calendar Pro this morning, which should help mitigate the sort of problems with recurring events that it sounds like impacted your site’s CPU usage.
1. Can you confirm if you were indeed using the “recurring events” feature on your site at all?
2. I would recommend contacting your host to share the above information. If you ensure that your site is using the most recent version of WordPress, is using The Events Calendar 4.2.2, and is using Events Calendar Pro 4.2.2.1, then there should be no issues like this.
So sorry for the trouble, Kelly. I think updating to the version numbers I listed in point #2 above should help, and hope it does. Please let us know!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Jimmy,
Thanks for your followup.
Opening a new thread is definitely the best course of action here, so that we can best help with your issue while keeping this thread focused on @jeff’s original questions.
Open up a new thread, and we will be responding as soon as possible,
Thank you!

ParticipantHey Nicolas,
Excellent! I’m glad you were able to clear out the old events.
This issue definitely deserved special attention, and our developers worked hard on publishing a fix early in the week. As noted above, we just published Events Calendar Pro 4.2.2.1 this morning—if you update to this version, then the “runaway” recurrence should not happen again!
The error happened because of a an issue with the way the recurrence engine was generating recurrence rules for events.
Let us know if the 4.2.2.1 update helps!
Sincerely,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Gregg,
About half an hour ago we published version 4.2.2.1 of Events Calendar Pro—this includes a fix for these issues.
Please try updating to this version of Events Calendar Pro (while making sure that your version of The Events Calendar is up-to-date at version 4.2.2, as well).
This should prevent the problem from happening again. If you have many instances of recurring events that you want to delete, I’d recommend searching for a free “bulk deletion” plugin on WordPress.org. There are many options—choose one that looks right to you, and it should help with the process of deleting many events at a time.
Let us know if the update helps!
Thank you,
GeorgeGeorge

ParticipantHey there!
You should be able to do this by adding the following line of CSS to the bottom of your theme’s style.css file:
div.recurringinfo {
display: none !important;
}
If you add this and still the text in any specific locations, can you share links to the places on your site where you still see the text? An additional line or two may be required based on your theme’s CSS and such.
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantHey Johannes,
Thanks for reaching out!
Our plugins unfortunately do not provide this feature, nor is there a way to “activate” such a feature by way of a premium add-on. 🙁
The emailed tickets are indeed still “printable”, if the recipient chooses to print the emails—but there is not a way to include a PDF version as an attachment at this time.
Sorry to disappoint!

ParticipantHey @Nicolas,
So sorry for the trouble here. This is a bug that arose last week. We could not recreate the problem at first, but more and more folks started reporting the issue and we were finally able to figure out the problem.
Our developers worked hard to get a fix done over the weekend and ready for this Monday morning—the fix is now available within Events Calendar Pro 4.2.2.1, so please update to that version of the plugin (and ensure you’re on version 4.2.2 of The Events Calendar itself, etc.).
This should help prevent this issue from happening again!
As for bulk deleting events, WordPress is unfortunately fairly limited in its capacity for this. Your best bet is to either:
• search on wordpress.org/plugins for a “bulk delete” plugin; there are many options, all free, so look for ones with high ratings and try out some of these plugins. they should help!
• contact your web host to see if they can help perform a mass deletion on the database-side of things. this may or may not be possible depending on who your web host is, but if you explain the problem and make it clear which events you want deleted, they may be able to write and perform some SQL queries that wipe out all of the event series with this problem.
Please do update to Events Calendar Pro 4.2.2.1 and let us know if it helps—thank you for your patience here!

ParticipantSorry for the trouble here—thanks for letting us know the fix worked! 😀
Feel free to open a new thread any time.

ParticipantHey Gregg,
I’m so sorry for the trouble here. We are investigating some issues with recurring events that cause the behaviors you describe here.
We are working on a fix. To help my investigate your specific instance of this issues, though, can you post your site’s complete “System Information” to this thread? You can do so in a “private reply” if you want to keep that information hidden from the public (only you and us on the support team can se your Private Replies).
Here is how to post that information → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
☝️ This would be a great help.
Sorry for the trouble here, Gregg! We may have a fix as soon as this week for the issues, so I will post updates in the meantime if I have any more word on that fix.
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge
ParticipantThanks Margie—we’re working on this and I will update this thread as soon as I learn more about the fix, and will notify this thread when it is officially released.
Stay tuned!
