MemberGood evening Shirin,
Thank you for writing back.
I will be glad to answer all of your “Are there functions which allow me to:” questions.
â make one button ârequest this ticketâ instead of the [-] and [+] buttons with the number field
We integrate with a few e-commerce plugins out there.
The most popular choice is WooCommerce.Based on your specific needs, I believe you would gain from integrating with WooCommerce.
If you do not want to charge for the tickets online, you can still “sell” free tickets. In other words, that would replace the RSVP process completely.
This means that by default, the + and – buttons will present.
The good news is that you can customize this behaviour to your liking.
Here is an example of such a customization:Â https://www.proy.info/hide-or-remove-the-quantity-field-from-woocommerce-product/You can also change the label of “Add to cart” to “Request this ticket” if you want.
â change the recipientâs e-mail after sending an RSVP?
That is going to be tricky to achieve at this point. Not impossible, but we do not have a simple solution for that.
This is one of my reasons for suggesting the integration to WooCommerce.
It makes changing the recipient’s email very simple. It also provides many other great features such as the ability to re-send emails.
â change the content of the e-mail itself?
Technically, you can customize pretty much anything in our plugins.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.Again, using WooCommerce also opens the door to other ways of customizing the emails sent (in a very user-friendly manner).
â add a âValidate requestâ button to the backend, which will send a pre-defined validation e-mail to the person who filled out the RSVP?
It might not be through a button, but here again, WooCommerce offers plenty of options in that area (plugins, settings, snippets).
Here are a couple of examples:
- https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/woo-confirmation-email/
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Pete,
As promised, I asked for a second pair of eyes on this one.
Fair warning, I did not get the answer I was hoping for, but I will still relay it since it is solution-oriented. Perhaps you will find it useful as well.
They could just have the Attendees Report up and use the PDF Tickets extension (possibly also the Duplicate Orders extension to visually help) to print them right there.
The PDF Tickets extension is pending release.
If that’ll take too long (to print each one individually), they could just print ALL the tickets by sending all tickets to a print API like https://developers.google.com/cloud-print/docs/overview (cloud-connect the will call printer) or https://lob.com/ (to print and then mail to the customer)
The obvious downside of this is the wasted printed paper (that you can hopefully recycle).
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Benjamin and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic. Can you confirm what the status of that order is ?
Can you also check if it meets the conditions found at the bottom of the Events -> Settings -> Tickets page ?If the order status is “Completed” and the “Send ticket” option is not available, by the sound of it, it looks like there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:
- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes.

MemberGood evening Dyran,
Thank you for writing back.
I am afraid I do not have good news on this one.
Although wpspring offers great discounts and updates, we are unfortunately unable to offer support to its clients, as they are not the license holders.
You can read about this here:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
With that in mind, we would be happy to help you out as one of our premium customers.
In the meantime, you might want to review the following:Â http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-community-tickets/Best regards,

MemberGood evening Brittany and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.1) I definitely need the Event Tickets Plus. But then I just need to be able to list the Events on an Events page with image, date/time, excerpt, and button link to single event page to purchase. Do I NEED the Event Calendar to do that? Or can I just list them myself? Like will there automatically be an â/eventsâ page that I can add custom html/css to and query in order to use pagination?
The simple answer is that we offer a modular approach. That way you can use our products to your exact specifications. Let’s break it down.
I just need to be able to list the Events on an Events page with image, date/time, excerpt, and button link to single event page to purchase. Do I NEED the Event Calendar to do that?
That looks exactly like what the Events Calendar’s list view offers you.
You can even tweak it to your exact liking using CSS or by customizing the view files. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
But, no, you do not need the calendar to sell tickets. You can assign tickets to any post or page type you want. With or without the Events Calendar.
will there automatically be an â/eventsâ page that I can add custom html/css to and query in order to use pagination?
Our the Events Calendar does not create a “real” page.
But it does need exclusivity over the â/eventsâ URL (or another one of your choosing). You will still be able to add custom CSS or HTML to the “pages” of our plugin.
In order to gain full power on your site’s look and feel, I would highly recommend reading the following articles:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/using-google-chrome-developer-tools/

You will also want to go through the following:Â http://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/
2) Do I need Event Tickets Plus AND Event Tickets, or just Event Tickets Plus
You need both plugins if you want to use Event Tickets Plus.
That is because Event Tickets Plus extends Event Tickets. It does not replace it.3) I am using recurring events. I know that comes with Event Tickets Plus. If I end up needing Event Calendar, would I need Pro for that feature?
That is actually not fully accurate. I am glad you asked that question:
- Events and tickets are really 2 separate objects. For this reason, Event Tickets Plus does not offer recurring events.
The Events Calendar Pro on the other hand, does offer the recurring event feature:Â https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/
- At the time of writing, we offer only limited support for the integration of Event Tickets Plus with recurring events.
We are working on adding that feature. But for now, the only available option is to use 1 pool of tickets for ALL the events in the series.
In other words, each event does not have it’s own set of tickets for now.
For some of our customers, that is perfect. I am not sure wether or not that would be sufficient for you ?
4) I can make custom fields for the buyer to fill out on the purchasing form, right? If so, where would that data appear in the CMS?
Absolutely. Event Tickets Plus lets you capture attendee data.
I recommend reading the following to see how that works:- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/collecting-attendee-information/
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/managing-your-orders-and-attendees/
5) Can I alter the html/css for the single event page?
Yes, as mentioned previously, you can customize just about any view to your liking using our themer’s guide.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Albert and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.is it possible to embed the events calendar on the homepage?
The answer is absolutely.
To achieve this you will need a copy of our the Events Calendar Pro premium add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-events-calendar-pro/This provides many great features, including shortcodes for widgets and even full calendar-views:
