    Hello Support,

I would like to change the following in the plug-in Event Tickets but cannot find any options to do this.

    – change the time format (from am, pm, to 24h format. example: 10:00 Uhr instead of 10:00am)
    – make a one single button to open the ticket order form in rsvp
    – add input fields to the rsvp form, which will be visible in the front-end as well as in the back-end
    – remove the RSVP toggle in the RSVP form
    – change the submission form of the RSVP form
    -> change the recipient’s e-mail
    -> change the content
    – add a button to the back-end where wordpress users are able to send a confirmation e-mail to the person who filled out the RSVP

    Good evening Shirin,

Thanks so much for getting in touch!

I’m afraid that we’re not equipped to provide technical support for Event Tickets users here in our pre-sales forum.

But, the good news is that you are still welcome to consult this forum and all our premium forums to your liking and browse it for solutions, snippets and tutorials.

We’d be more than happy to assist you at one of the following locations:

With that in mind, here are a couple of elements to get you started:

    1. Time formats are defined under Events -> Settings -> Display AND under Setting > General in wp-admin
    2. If you require additional input fields, you will need to get a copy of our Event Tickets Plus premium add-on: https://theeventscalendar.com/product/wordpress-event-tickets-plus/
    3. For any customization to the functionality of the plugin, you might want to read our Themer’s guide .

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hello Geoff,

thank you so much for your quick reply.
I’m actually looking to buy a copy of your Event Ticket Plus add-on but I still have some open questions regarding this.

However, I mean to use your Plug-in as a event ticket requester instead of a free ticket distributor.

Are there functions which allow me to:
    – make one button “request this ticket” instead of the [-] and [+] buttons with the number field
    – change the recipient’s e-mail after sending an RSVP?
    – change the content of the e-mail itself?
    – add a “Validate request” button to the backend, which will send a pre-defined validation e-mail to the person who filled out the RSVP?

    Best Regards,

    Shirin Nordmann

    Good evening Shirin,

    Thank you for writing back.

I will be glad to answer all of your “Are there functions which allow me to:” questions.

    – make one button “request this ticket” instead of the [-] and [+] buttons with the number field

We integrate with a few e-commerce plugins out there.
The most popular choice is WooCommerce.

Based on your specific needs, I believe you would gain from integrating with WooCommerce.
If you do not want to charge for the tickets online, you can still “sell” free tickets.

In other words, that would replace the RSVP process completely.

This means that by default, the + and – buttons will present.

The good news is that you can customize this behaviour to your liking.
Here is an example of such a customization: https://www.proy.info/hide-or-remove-the-quantity-field-from-woocommerce-product/

You can also change the label of “Add to cart” to “Request this ticket” if you want.

    – change the recipient’s e-mail after sending an RSVP?

That is going to be tricky to achieve at this point. Not impossible, but we do not have a simple solution for that.

This is one of my reasons for suggesting the integration to WooCommerce.
It makes changing the recipient’s email very simple.

It also provides many other great features such as the ability to re-send emails.

    – change the content of the e-mail itself?

Technically, you can customize pretty much anything in our plugins.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Again, using WooCommerce also opens the door to other ways of customizing the emails sent (in a very user-friendly manner).

    – add a “Validate request” button to the backend, which will send a pre-defined validation e-mail to the person who filled out the RSVP?

It might not be through a button, but here again, WooCommerce offers plenty of options in that area (plugins, settings, snippets).

Here are a couple of examples:

    1. https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-email-verification/13209934
    2. https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/woo-confirmation-email/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good evening Geoff,

Thank you very much for all the information. I have decided to buy a copy and use it in combination with WooCommerce.

    Best Regards,
