MemberGood evening Victoria and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!
Thank you for your interest in our products and we’ll be glad to answer your question.
Tickets for recurring events is a HUGE deal. When are you going to have this done?
The good news is that we totally agree with you, as you can see here: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3685663-recurring-event-support-for-tickets
Unfortunately at the moment, I cannot commit to a release date. But stay tuned!
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have 🙂
Have a great day!

Memberp.s.: As a side note, you might want to try to go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
p.p.s.: Woo Canvas tends to not play nicely with our plugin sometimes

February 15, 2016 at 9:32 pm in reply to: Ticket Price for RSVP function still shows FREE – then the price. #1073512Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Jason and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the cost showing as free issue you have been experiencing.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic. As you might know, displaying FREE for RSVP tickets is default behaviour since there is no field to define the price attached to it.
Most of our clients use our Events Tickets Plus premium plugin for paid (not free events) along side the free Events Tickets plugin. Being able to create several ticket types per event ensures exactly what you are looking for:
- show the price when there is a cost
- show free when it is free
That being said, you can totally control what is displayed for RSVP tickets by adding a snippet in your WordPress theme’s functions.php. My colleague George does an awesome job of explaining that here.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Paul and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We will gladly answer your question on this topic. Is it possible to achieve the same result but with a bulleted list of Event Categories?
The answer, out-of the box, is no. The only built-in shortcodes currently available are detailed here.
That being said, I am pretty sure you can accomplish this via a fairly straight forward customization.
And although we do not fully support customization, we absolutely try to get our customers started on the right track.
If you haven’t already, you might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how to go about this. It won’t provide you with a solution, but give you an idea of where to go look for the appropriate code.
After all, the events categories can be found in the wp_terms and wp_term_taxonomy tables just like post categories.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Oscar and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the 404 error on your add event page.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic. It might require a bit of back and forth to pinpoint the cause of this so we appreciate your patience.
Here a couple of suggestions for you:
- First read and go through all the procedures presented in https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fixing-http-404-errors/ and in https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/404_and_seo/ , especially “flushing” your permalinks (re-saving them without changing anything)
- If that does not work properly, I am thinking there might be a conflict with a plugin or with your WordPress theme. Could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out. Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
Let me know how that goes.
Have a great day!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about your issue with the custom fields not displaying in the filter bar.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic. That being said, in order to help you out, I would probably require a bit more information on the custom fields you have created that do not show up in the filter bar.
So if you don’t mind, here are a couple of questions / requests :
- Did you read the following guide for the creation and display of the custom fields in the filter bar ?
- If you did and it still doesn’t work, could you please share with me screenshots of your custom fields configuration in a private reply (Imgur, dropbox, etc..) ?
Have a great day!

MemberGood evening Shay,
Thank you for sharing your system information with us.
After a quick look at the information you provided, it looks like there is some sort of conflict going on with your WordPress themes and plugins.
More specifically, among other things, JetPack is known to not play nicely with the calendar, but there can be other ones as well (redirection and custom JS plugin could be in cause).
Finally, I would recommend upgrading to the latest version of the plugin if you can the Events Calendar 4.05
Let me know if that helps.

MemberGood afternoon Valerie,
Thank you for clarifying what you are looking to do.
In that case, I would just simply use a shortcode in the content of your WordPress page.
Something like[tribe_mini_calendar]or[tribe_events_list limit="10"].You can take a look at the complete list of our available shortcodes (and how to customize them) in the following post.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!
