Good evening Pau and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The short answer is yes. You can pretty much customize everything you want, including not showing the time of an event.

To achieve that, the simplest method is to do template overrides.
You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

In your specific case, you will need to tweak the photo view and the single view by removing the time display from there.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Brian,

Based on your licenses I actually thought that you had the Event Tickets Plus plugin already installed.

But, the good news is that you could totally remove the RSVP option using a code snippet should you want to (to keep things simple while there is no default ticket type option available yet): https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/possible-to-remove-rsvp-as-a-ticket-option/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Hello Jamie,

Thank you for the system information.

I switched to your user and removed the license connection to your test website successfully.
Please make sure that the license key is removed from your test website under Events -> Settings -> Licenses.

You should now be able to setup that license on the single install of your multisite following the instructions in the article.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good afternoon ,

Thank you for the system info.

I did a bit of research on this topic and, unless you include some Javascript based iFrame resizing (which is unfortunately outside the scope of our support), it looks like a set size (that would cover the different number of tickets you are selling) is the only way to go.

Instead of using CSS, you could use the following snippet: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/changing-the-height-of-the-eventbrite-tickets-iframe/

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

    Best regards,

    Good afternoon Khaled,

I’m glad this solution worked for you.

As you know, modifying the core files is not update resistant. So if you manage to find a way to achieve the same result through your theme’s functions.php file, then I would recommend that approach instead.

You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂

    Hi again Joanna,

I’m sorry to hear about that.

Since it looks like you have deactivated your month view, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?

    Have a great day!

    Hi again Joanna,

I believe this might be caused by the issue described in your previous thread (how the events are setup).

That being said, the cause might be lying somewhere else.
Receiving your system info will certainly help with that.

In the meantime, something else you might want to try is to head over to Events -> Settings -> General and check if there is not a venue or organizer duplicate fix button available. Then scroll down to the timezone settings section and look for a GMT / Timezone update button.

In many cases, that fixes these types of issues.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good afternoon Joanna and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

As per your specific example (31/6/2016), that will probably not work since there is only 30 days in June 🙂

That being said, when I do select 30/6/2016 , I am getting events from May in the search results.
The reason for that is because these are recurring events that seem to have start dates in May but end dates in December.

As such, from the calendar’s point of view, it makes them 7 months long events. This is why they show up on seemingly unrelated days.

Perhaps it would be good to review a screenshot from the Edit Event screen (including the recurrence rules) for these events if you don’t mind.

Based on what I understand, these events end date should be on the same day as they start (as opposed to matching the recurrence rules end date).

    Best regards,

Good afternoon Margie and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the recurring events being seemingly out of control. This is certainly not intended on our part.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Before we begin, I am noticing that several plugins on your site are not up to date, including ours.

Of course, I would recommend backing up plugins and Database before attempting anything, but you might want to try updating to the latest versions (at least for our plugins – which include many bugfixes and new features). Even better if you could test these updates in a staging / test environment first.

Furthermore, it is usually not advised to run 2 separate security plugins on a website. I recommend choosing between iThemes Security and Wordfence to prevent odd behaviours on your site.

As for the main issue at stake here, you are right. We need to stop the bleeding as fast as possible.
Your efforts here have been exemplary so far.

My first recommendation would be to take screenshots of the settings of this faulty recurring event (I would like to get these screenshots to help and investigate this) and then procede to delete the event altogether.

This should stop the recurrence from being out of control and should allow you to:

    1. Delete all instances of that event
    2. Re-create the event from scratch

As an alternative, if you have daily backups and there is no loss of data, you might have reverted back to the state of things prior to the person’s changes on Sunday.

Finally, could you tell me what your setting for timezones is in Events -> Settings -> General ?

And most importantly – WHY? What kind of incense do I have to burn to have this NEVER happen again ?

I am not sure exactly what happened on your specific install (server glitch, plugin or theme conflict, removal of the recurring event end date prior to deletion, template customization, etc..), but I want to truly apologize for all the inconvenience. Please know that it is pretty rare that something like this happens.

So in short, I totally understand how frustrating this can be, especially provided the timing.
But rest assured this is not license related and looks like the result of a particularly unlucky combination of events.

On our end, our first goal is to help you fix the problem short term (regardless of the cause of the issue).

As a second step, we would like to try to investigate and reproduce the problem and do our due diligence on this.
This is where a screenshot of your settings as well as a copy of your WordPress theme (in a .zip link) would help us.

Hang in there while we work on fixing this!

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Good evening Carlas,

Thank you for sharing your information and screenshot.
I believe I know what is going on.

In order to add tickets (as you can see under the Allow any user to create tickets section), the website visitor needs:

    • A subscriber role (which means logging in) or at least the edit_event_tickets capability

If you want to allow an unlogged user to create tickets, you will need to find a way to provide your website visitors with that capability by default.

I would recommend the following article as a starting point: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/107622/i-need-to-assign-a-role-to-visitors-guests

Let me know if that helps.

    Hello again Khaled,

Thank you for sharing your screenshots.

I believe I have found the culprit.
    It’s located in /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Custom_Meta.php around line 210.

Basically if you add extra allowed value to the array of wp_kses like ‘p’ or ‘br’, you will be able to do exactly what you are looking for.

Let me know if that helps.

Good evening Thierry and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the updates overwriting your translations.
I would love to help you with this topic and offer to continue the conversation in French if you prefer.

The good news is that we will soon add a feature where you can simply store your customized translations in your /wp-content/languages/ folder and not worry about that. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!

In the meantime, you have a couple of options available for you:

Good evening Jamie and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the license still being associated to your test website.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

    Secondly, I would:

    1. Remove the license key from your old site before disconnecting from your account as specified here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/
    2. Read the following article on how to handle exactly your situation (having a single site license on a multisite install): https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/multisite-license/

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
