Hi there,
We currently use Additional Fields on our site to display local sponsors, and while tags seem to work fine, nothing else seems to show up. In particular, we’d like to have it so that you can create a new paragraph so that we could list more than a single sponsor in the field. We’ve thought about just using multiple fields, but that seems like overkill (we have a lot of sponsors occasionally, up to 20) for just having the ability to create a paragraph break or a list.
We’ve tried <br>,
- and <p> tags to no effect. They don’t display, and after updating the event, they are removed from the field. tags are unaffected.
Thanks,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.Would you mind sharing a screenshot (in a private reply if you prefer) of an “edit event” screen where you are doing this ? I just want to make sure my reply suits what you are doing.
In the meantime, as food for thought, some of our customers are using the Advanced Custom fields plugin to achieve similar results to what you are looking for.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

Thank you for sharing your screenshots.
I believe I have found the culprit.
It’s located in /wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Custom_Meta.php around line 210.Basically if you add extra allowed value to the array of wp_kses like ‘p’ or ‘br’, you will be able to do exactly what you are looking for.
Let me know if that helps.
Have a great day!

I’m glad this solution worked for you.
As you know, modifying the core files is not update resistant. So if you manage to find a way to achieve the same result through your theme’s functions.php file, then I would recommend that approach instead.
You are welcome back on our support forums any time 🙂
For now, I am going to close this thread.
Have a great week!
Geoff B.
