Good afternoon Kate and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that you are not receiving confirmation emails.
I would love to help you with this topic.

To answer your second question, by default, the Tickets are hidden from the shop, so that is normal.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Secondly, could you tell me if you have tried the testing functionality of the Easy WP SMTP plugin (to see if it is able to send emails correctly).

Finally, can you tell me if you do receive a confirmation email when you purchase a standard WooCommerce product (even a test one).

Hang in there as we try to figure this out.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good afternoon Fred and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear that the issue is still not solved on your end.
I would love to help you with this topic.

I have just set up a test case with the latest version of our plugins to see what happens when the sales price ends tomorrow.
Manually removing the sale price and updating the product did produce the expected result.

On your end, can you please provide us with your latest complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    Best regards,

Good afternoon Sean and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

Actually, this is done on purpose.
The reasoning behind it is that Cost is a field contained in the EventBrite ticket.

For that reason, the built-in event cost is removed to avoid duplication.

That being said, it is still possible to force the built-in event cost should you want to.

Let me know if you would like to do just that.

    Hey Bill,

I’m sorry to hear that trying to add the snippet broke your site (at least temporarily).

I would recommend adding the snippet just above the “Patch to fix Divi issue” section.

If you are still struggling with this, I would recommend sending me a copy of your child theme so that I can do this for you (via a .zip file).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Good evening Hovig,

Thank you for writing back and providing some context around this.

Actually, technically speaking what you are using is a page template (not a stylesheet) that calls on specific stylesheet.

Would you mind telling me what your setting is under Events -> Settings -> Display >Default stylesheet used for events templates ?

Secondly, there are a couple of ways to go about this:

    1. Adding the CSS rules directly in your page template: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13201451/how-to-use-css-style-in-php
    2. Depending on the settings from the previous question, you might simply want to enqueue your theme’s regular stylesheet as well (http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/loading-css-into-wordpress-the-right-way–cms-20402 )

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Good afternoon Lucy,

    Thank you for the files.
Thanks to that, I was able to run some tests on my end which allowed me to reproduce the issue.

I can confirm that this issue is theme specific. There is something in the theme that is causing some JavaScript error which then prevents the mobile view from working properly (namely the datepicker on our end).

At this point, I would recommend:

    • Making sure you have the latest version of your WordPress theme
    • Contacting your theme author as I see that there are some customizations for our products in there that might require some updating.
    • This might be a shot in the dark, you could simply downgrade our plugins until we figure out what is going on (in case this is specific to the latest version of our plugins). I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

    Hey Kevin,

As promised, I have reached out to Dev.

The good news is that you can totally dequeue if you want to.
    That can be done via:

    1. tribe_events_google_maps_api
    2. tribe_events_embedded_map

(either one or both, depending what you want to replace)

Let me know if you are good to go with just these assets or if you would prefer additional help with this ?

    Best regards,

Good evening Dan and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the ”
I would love to help you with this topic.

I will actually enquire to my colleague George about this and get back to you with my findings.

But, based on the feedback from my colleague Cliff found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/remove-the-public-attendee-list-entirely/#post-1095862 , I’m wondering if this could be arranged by including the tribe_tickets_plus_hide_attendees_list filter in the snippet.

Good evening Jeff and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about the Google Map issue creeping up on you again. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic.

First, I would recommend carefully reading the following article: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/

Secondly, based on the error messages I am seeing in the console. The most important one is the 404 message for yoursite/maps/api/js.

It seems that your site is trying to load a second instance of the Google Map API.

Could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.

Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,

Good evening Jason and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us and for sharing a solution that works for your client.

That’s awesome as it allows our other clients to benefit from using that plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-autocomplete-order/).

As a word of caution however, in the past, these type of plugins have sometimes resulted in inaccurate stock count.
Just make sure to keep an eye out for that (hopefully that is not an issue).

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

Good evening Bill and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

There are mainly 2 ways to go about this:

    1. By doing a template customization on the single-event view. You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.
    2. Use a snippet such as the following to replace tickets by something else: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

in reply to: possible to simplify the community 'add events' form? #1144485

Good evening Paul and welcome to the Events Calendar forum!

Thank you for your interest in our products.
We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

    1. I want to use the community as an intranet within our NGO, but there is no need for all the things that are there in the ‘add events’ form. NO need even for the ‘required’ description field. Just a calendar – like a google calendar. Simple as that.
    Is that possible at all?

    Yes, that is absolutely possible.

You can simplify the form as much as you would like through some template customization.

In fact, we build our plugin to be easily customizable.
I would recommend reading the following to get started:

    2. when there is a list of events, will the monthly calendar view automatically extend or only ‘view more items’ option?

By default each view has it’s own behaviours.
You can check out our demo site to see how these work. http://wpshindig.com/events/

That being said, using the same techniques outlined in the themer’s guide (and by checking out our extensive collection of snippets), you can change these default behaviours to your liking.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

    Geoff B.
