ParticipantOur Calendar broke out of the blue and for some reason our customers are unable to select the dates (number and dot) on the calendar to view the details. The action works when as the screen goes larger and the calendar begins to show the names of acts.
We have updated the Plugin.

MemberGood evening Lucy and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the customers being unable to select dates on mobile devices.
I would love to help you with this topic. As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
That being said, I took a quick look at your website and I believe there is a Javascript error in place (j.bootstrapDatepicker is not a function) preventing the mobile version from working properly.
Could you also please go through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website) and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantHi Geoffrey,
Before I do a lot of work testing, I would like to see if I can fix the obvious first in hopes that it resolves the issue altogether. The file that has the JS ERROR on it comes from Event Calendar plugin update at your end. Can you please send me the tribe-events-ajax-calendar.min.js without the error on it? That would be really helpful.
Thanks, Lucy

MemberGood evening Lucy,
Thank you for writing back and for the system information.
I totally understand where you are coming from. I was merely trying to expedite the process (for the benefit of your customers).
With that in mind, my first recommendation would be to update your the Events Calendar Pro add-on to the latest version (4.2.3) as this is the most likely cause of the issue.
If that still does not fix it, could you please send me a copy of your WordPress theme / child theme in a .zip file link (via Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

MemberGood afternoon Lucy,
Thank you for the files.
Thanks to that, I was able to run some tests on my end which allowed me to reproduce the issue.I can confirm that this issue is theme specific. There is something in the theme that is causing some JavaScript error which then prevents the mobile view from working properly (namely the datepicker on our end).
At this point, I would recommend:
- Making sure you have the latest version of your WordPress theme
- Contacting your theme author as I see that there are some customizations for our products in there that might require some updating.
- This might be a shot in the dark, you could simply downgrade our plugins until we figure out what is going on (in case this is specific to the latest version of our plugins). I recommend reading the following: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/downgrading-plugin-past-version/
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantI am a little worried. IF I delete the plugin will that delete all past, present and future events and I will have to re-enter them?
Please advise.
URGENT.
Thanks

MemberGood evening Lucy,
Actually, deleting the plugin should not impact your Database.
But, you are right. You can never be too cautious.
Before attempting anything, I always recommend making a backup of the database (and having the ability to restore the said backup if something goes wrong).phpMyAdmin is a great way to do this. But, if this is slightly out of your comfort zone, you might want to try a third-party plugin such as Updraft Plus for that very purpose.
Let me know how that goes.
